In follow the outline provided by the pet parent to work through the pet’s familiar daily routine. For dogs, I emphasize exercise and with cats, I emphasize stillness. For both, we find a compromise 😂

Schedule
It is not that pet care fits into my life as much as pet care IS my life. It is breakfast, walk or read (depending on the species), groom, pet, games, naps, then dinner and repeat until bedtime.
