I’ve grown up around animals and have years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. Pet care has always been deeply personal to me, not just a side job. I fostered a dog named Sakura who had paralysis in her two front paws, which taught me patience, adaptability, and how to provide extra-attentive care for pets with special needs. I’ve also rescued and helped rehome multiple dogs and cats off the streets in Colombia, giving them safety, love, and a second chance. While in college in Corvallis, Oregon, I regularly cared for dogs through doggy day-outs and sleepovers, helping busy pet parents with walks, feeding, companionship, and overnight care. Friends, family, and community members have consistently trusted me with their pets, and I take that responsibility seriously. Every pet is different, and I always tailor my care to their personality, routines, and comfort level. I’m patient, reliable, and genuinely love building connections with animals. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while giving their owners peace of mind.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, respect, and consistency. I carefully follow all instructions related to feeding, walking, medications, routines, and household expectations. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure and I stay attentive during walks and visits. I’m mindful of each pet’s personality and comfort level, especially with shy or anxious animals, and I adjust my approach to help them feel safe and relaxed in their own environment. I also treat clients’ homes with care and respect. I believe communication is essential, so I provide regular updates, photos, and messages so pet parents always know how their pets are doing. My goal is to provide reliable, loving care while giving both pets and owners peace of mind.

I had Camila as a roommate for two years, where my cat Casper was the only pet in the household. Whenever I would leave town she is who I knew I could rely on to look after my baby out of all my roommates. I have never met someone with such a strong and outward love and excitement for all animals! I also have visited her home where her and her mom have four cats and two dogs, and I saw her take on the role as the main caregiver for every single one of them while I was there. I also know she has fostered dogs with special needs and has volunteered to do doggy-day-out activities with dogs from nearby shelters.

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I currently work two part-time barista jobs that take up only a few days of the week and for limited hours. This gives me a very flexible schedule for dog walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I’m available most days for daytime care, evening visits, and overnight stays, and I can plan my schedule around each pet’s routine to make sure they receive consistent attention, exercise, and companionship.
