I work from home and set my own hours, so I plan my day around the pets in my care - keeping a steady rhythm of potty breaks, meals, exercise, and downtime so dogs stay settled and don't get overstimulated. Drop-Off & Pick-Up (Boarding & Daycare) Standard hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. I have another adult in the home who often helps, but times need to be scheduled in advance so one of us is available. Please confirm your drop-off or pick-up time at least 30 minutes ahead. Late pickups may incur a fee or require extending the stay to an overnight. Boarding & Daycare Dogs follow a calm, structured routine - wake-up, potty, breakfast, daytime play and rest, and a consistent wind-down in the evening so they can settle and sleep well. Daycare and boarding dogs rotate through outdoor breaks, play, and planned nap times, and I separate dogs for quiet time when energy levels call for it. House Sitting I match your pet's usual schedule as closely as possible - same wake-up, walk, meal, and evening routines so their day feels familiar even though you're away. Dog Walking & Drop-In Visits We'll choose visit times that line up with your pet's routine - morning and supper for feeding, or a regular mid-day slot for walks and play. I sometimes work within a 30-minute arrival window (e.g., 12:00–12:30), so please flag any time-sensitive needs like medications or strict feeding times and I'll schedule as precisely as possible.

Safety, trust & environment
Whether your pet stays in my home or I stay in yours, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and predictable environment that follows their normal routine. I use clear structure, gentle handling, and good management (gates, separate spaces, and crates when appropriate) so pets can relax and feel secure. Boarding & Daycare In my home, visiting dogs are welcomed into our space and treated like part of the family. I share my home with two friendly resident dogs and introduce new dogs slowly so everyone feels comfortable. Boarding and daycare dogs are always actively supervised, and the two groups are kept separate. I use gates, separate feeding areas, and short periods of crate or playpen time to maintain structure and prevent overstimulation. Dogs staying in my home should be comfortable settling independently when needed. High-value items like bones and certain toys are removed during group time, and all dogs are fed separately. I limit group size to a maximum of 2 boarding dogs and 3 daycare dogs per day so each pet gets proper attention and supervision. There is another responsible adult in the home during the day, meaning your pup gets regular outdoor breaks, enrichment, rest time, and plenty of affection. House Sitting When I stay in your home, pets usually feel most relaxed in their familiar environment. I keep their space calm, clean, and consistent, follow your household rules and routines, and send regular photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. Dog Walking & Drop-In Visits Dogs are always walked on-leash, and off-leash time only happens in secure, fenced areas or with your approval. I don't introduce your pet to unfamiliar dogs without your permission and only use treats, toys, and food that you specify.

Information Cami C. would like to know about your pet
Please tell me about your pet's temperament, routine, and any sensitivities or special behaviours - feeding schedules, medications, triggers (noises, dogs, people, objects), and comfort items. This helps me tailor my care and keep your pet safe, calm, and well-supported. Boarding & Daycare For stays in my home, please share how your dog does with other dogs, any history of anxiety or reactivity, crate/gate experience, and what their normal day looks like (sleeping spots, potty schedule, energy level). Daycare dogs require a trial period to confirm this environment is a good fit. In some cases, your dog may need to bring specific support items such as a muzzle, crate, or belly band. I'm a good match for dogs with basic manners - comfortable being handled, no serious aggression history, and able to be safely managed around other dogs with the right setup. Please flag any behaviour concerns in advance. House Sitting Please share your pet's daily schedule, house rules (furniture, beds, crate use), and how they do when you're away. Home instructions (doors, alarms, plants, mail, etc.) are also helpful so I can keep your space and your pet's routine as normal as possible. Dog Walking & Drop-In Visits Let me know your dog's leash style (puller, reactive, nervous, confident), preferred walking gear, and anything or anyone they're uncomfortable with. Flag any time-sensitive needs like medications or specific feeding times so I can plan visits and routes accordingly.
A typical day
A typical day with me is calm, structured, and tailored to your pet - my goal is to keep them happy, relaxed, and feeling like part of the family while you're away. Boarding & Daycare Dogs in my home follow a calm routine that feels like a normal home day - morning outdoor time in our country backyard, an optional leashed walk, meals, and a mix of supervised play, mental enrichment, and planned nap times. House Sitting In your home, I follow the routine your pet already knows - same walk times, meal times, and favourite rest spots. The day is a mix of walks, play, and quiet companionship so your pet feels like life is normal, just with a different human. Dog Walking & Drop-In Visits Walks and visits include a leashed walk or potty break, play or training, fresh water, and any feeding or medications you've requested. I use the time to give your pet real attention and stimulation, not just a quick in-and-out.

Calm, Reliable Dog Care
Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Cami. I'm certified in Pet First Aid (Dogs & Cats) through the Canadian Red Cross, fully insured, and professionally sitting since 2013. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so your dog gets consistent attention and structure throughout the day. I have hands-on experience with feeding schedules, oral medications, insulin injections, senior support, and high-energy puppies, and I offer basic obedience reinforcement during stays. A Rural Retreat for Dogs Who Love the Outdoors I'm based on a rural property with a dog-friendly yard - fresh air, open space, dirt roads, and room to roam. We use the outdoor space for supervised play, sniffing, and downtime at a slower pace. I have an all-terrain vehicle, so road and weather conditions are never an issue for drop-ins or access. A great fit for dogs who thrive outside. I'm calm, adaptable, and take time to understand each dog's routine and body language - patient with anxious dogs, confident with high-energy pups, and gentle with seniors. I'm best suited to dogs with basic manners and no serious aggression history. If your dog has behaviour needs (i.e., reactivity, guarding, anxiety, or a bite history) please tell me upfront so we can figure out together if my setup works. Complex behaviour needs may involve an additional fee and/or specific support items (muzzle, harness, handling gloves, vet instructions). Safety for your dog, my dogs, and everyone in the home is always the priority. A Note Before You Book I follow up on every new request with a few quick questions about temperament and how your dog does in a multi-dog home, just to confirm it's a good match before we move to a meet & greet. Before submitting, please confirm your dates with your family and double-check the details. You'll always receive regular updates, photos, and check-ins throughout every stay. All rates include HST and applicable Rover fees; receipts available on request. What to Expect at a Meet & Greet About 20–30 minutes. We'll cover your dog's routine, health and behaviour history, house rules, and any special needs. At my home, I'll show you around and do a supervised introduction with my dogs if appropriate. At your home, you walk me through feeding, sleeping spots, walk routes, and anything else that matters. This is how we confirm it's the right fit before booking. I charge a small fee for meet & greets and key drops, as I work with multiple families and travel for sits. First-time Rover users, please ask me about a discount code!

Reviews

Gus had a wonderful time at his first daycare stay ever! When he got back, he was not clingy at all. Thank you so much for making his first experience go so well.😍

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! My dog is also so happy to go to Camis! We have done boarding, house sitting, and daycare! We’re so lucky to have her and Mick in our life!

Cami was the best sitter we could have asked for! We were nervous to leave our dog for this length of time but Cami made it easy. Our dog can be nervous with new people but she warmed up to Cami quickly and had a great time with her. We got regular updates and photos and we were never concerned or worried about our dog. Cami stayed in our home while we were away and we came home to a clean home and a very happy dog!

Cami was very accommodating with a last minute request for our dog. She was very professional and kept in regular contact with us for updates while we were away. She has a lovely spot in the country with a fenced in yard as well. Would highly recommend.
