In my own home: I keep a consistent routine — regular feeding times, plenty of walks and playtime, and a calm, safe space for the pet to settle in. I treat visiting pets the way I’d treat my own. In a client’s home: I stick to their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible — same feeding schedule, same walk times, same house rules — so there’s minimal disruption. For house sits, that also means keeping up with mail, plants, and lights so the home feels lived-in. For drop-in visits or walks, I make sure water bowls are full, I do a quick safety check of the space, and I leave things exactly as I found them.

I love keeping dogs active and engaged, so we’ll mix things up — long walks through my neighborhood, games in the yard, and trips to a big park nearby to let them run and explore new smells. I’m happy to tailor the pace to their energy level, whether that’s a relaxed stroll or a longer adventure.
