We have a fenced-in backyard (tall wooden fence) that is the size of an additional lot. The yard has a few shade trees and is mostly open grass. We have several toys to play with, both in the backyard and inside, including a water sprinkler. Your dog will not be left unattended in my care unless I need to run an errand briefly and they are secured according to your instructions (crated, etc.) We have a large dog crate your dog can use if you'd like so you don't have to bring yours back and forth. There are several safe places to go for walks nearby with lots of grassy areas.

I'd love to get to know more about your pet, so these are some questions I'll likely ask you: Does your pet have any health issues or injuries? Any exercise limitations? Is your pet up-to-date on vaccines? What preventative medications do they take (heartworms, flea/tick, etc.)? What are some of the typical ways your pet communicates with you? What is your pet's diet? Does your dog counter surf and/or try to get into human food in the kitchen? What are some of your pets' favorite ways to play? Is your pet ever aggressive? In what situations? Does your dog stay in your home on their own for any period of time, and/or do you crate them during this time? What commands does your dog know (sit, etc.)? Has your dog stayed with a dog sitter before? How did these experiences go? What can make your pet nervous or scared? What is your favorite thing about your pet?

We love walking around the MUW campus and on the Riverwalk. We also love walking at the Lock & Dam (if your dog is good with car rides). I have completed Beginner & Intermediate Obedience Training classes with my dog (at Awesome Dog Academy), and we love to practice all the tricks and games we learned. We also like doing puzzles with lots of treats inside!

My dog Lucy and I love to play. We go for 30-minute walks (at least) every day, run around and play fetch in the backyard, and play tug of war with her toys throughout the day. We would love for your pet to join us! When I was little, I was the hired pet sitter in the neighborhood, plus I also had my own pets growing up. As an adult, I've had my own pets and have been hired to pet-sit for several friends' dogs and cats, both short- and long-term gigs, over the years. I have experience administering oral medication to both dogs and cats and some dog grooming experience (although grooming is not my passion, ha).
