Your Dog’s Home Away from Home

Dogs have always been a huge part of our lives, and caring for them is something we genuinely love. There’s nothing better than seeing a dog relax, feel at home and enjoy themselves while their owners are away. We know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, so we treat every dog as if they were one of our own. I (Calley) have been around dogs for many years and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet. I have always had 1 or 2 dogs in my life since I was born. Currently my partner Angela and I, and our teenage sons (15 and 17) have our own friendly 3 year old Labrador, Bailey. As a family, we provide a calm, loving home where dogs are treated like one of our own. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and needs, so I’ll always take the time to get to know them and follow their normal schedule as closely as possible. Whether they enjoy long walks, shorter strolls, lots of play or simply relaxing with company, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them happiest.

Our three year old Labrador Arlo really enjoyed his time with Bailey. He seemed very settled. Calley was very friendly and easy to deal with.

Willow had an amazing time with Calley, Angela and their family. I received lovely messages and photos of Willow being thoroughly entertained, and could see they knew their stuff in settling in her in and considering her needs over the duration of her stay, paying attention to any small details. She also loved having a doggie friend Bailey there for company and I think she probably missed them all coming home. Thanks to Calley and Angela - Willow takes her new toy with her around the house everyday since leaving her new friends.

Coco has been very well looked after by Calley and her family, she’s really enjoyed her stay with them. I love that I was updated every single day with a message and photos which really put me at ease. We’ve never left her with anyone before and I 100% recommend this sitter to anyone. A very loving family who love dogs and treat them as their own. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you so much 😊👍🏼🐶🐾 ⭐

Calley and her family have looked after my dog for many years whilst I’ve been on holiday or weekends away. He has a great time there with plenty of exercise going for walks and playing with Bailey. Calley keeps me updated and sends me pictures of how he’s getting on. I would recommend Calley and her home to anyone asking where their dogs can go whilst they’re away.

Schedule

I (Calley) complete a few hours of administrative work from home each morning, which means I’m around throughout the day to give your dog plenty of attention, care and companionship. Before caring for dogs, I worked as a manager in children’s homes, supporting children with a wide range of needs and personalities. That experience taught me to stay calm, patient and confident in any situation—qualities that are just as valuable when caring for dogs. Looking after dogs isn’t just something I fit around my day—it’s something I genuinely love. There’s nothing better than seeing a dog arrive, gradually settle in, enjoy their walks and playtime, then curl up for a peaceful nap knowing they feel relaxed, safe and at home. We have a secure, fully fenced garden where your dog will have regular access for toilet breaks, fresh air and play throughout the day. Our friendly, neutered Labrador, Bailey, enjoys two long walks each day, and we’re happy to tailor walks to match your dog’s usual routine, age and energy levels. Where appropriate, we may also visit a secure enclosed dog field, giving dogs the chance to safely burn off extra energy and enjoy some freedom off lead. We’ll always discuss this with you beforehand and make sure your dog is comfortable travelling in the car before any trips. To keep dogs happy and entertained, we provide plenty of toys, enrichment activities and even a dog paddling pool for warmer days. We also have a large crate available for dogs who are crate trained, so there’s no need to bring your own. If your dog doesn’t use a crate, we’ll simply follow their normal routine, ensuring they feel comfortable, settled and right at home from the moment they arrive.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are my highest priorities. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, so I’ll care for them as if they were one of my own. Your dog will not be left alone for more than a couple of hours at a time, and have a doggy camera to keep an eye on your pooch when needed. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is safe, happy and well cared for. We have plenty of different areas where your dog can sleep during the night, and I will discuss with you first where you think they’d be most comfortable.

Pets

A typical day

Throughout the day, your dog will have regular opportunities to go outside in our secure garden, enjoy playtime, enrichment, and lots of fuss. Walks are tailored to your dog’s normal routine, and if appropriate, we may also visit a secure dog field for an extra run around. In the evening, it’s time to relax with the family, more cuddles, another toilet break, and a peaceful night’s sleep, ensuring your dog feels safe, comfortable, and right at home.

Before your dog’s stay, I’d love to get to know them so I can provide the best possible care. Please let me know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, toilet habits, any medical conditions or medications, allergies, and whether they have any fears or anxieties. It’s also helpful to know how they are around other dogs, children, and new environments, as well as any behaviours I should be aware of. If your dog may travel in the car to visit a secure dog field, please let me know how they cope with car journeys. The more information you can share, the easier it is for me to make your dog’s stay safe, happy, and as close to home as possible.
