Availability
During summer: I have more flexibility with drop-in visits and overnight stays. Just ask for what you need and I’ll be clear about what I can provide. During the school year: I work as a high school teacher from 7:30am-4pm, so unless there are extenuating circumstances, I won’t be able to do morning visits on school days. I do need to drive to school, so ideally there would be a relatively convenient place to park if I’m housesitting as well. Because I petsit as a side job (that I love), sometimes I’ll need to deny a booking request because of the distance away from my school or if I have quite a bit of grading expected those days. I know this is frustrating for potential clients, but I do my best to respond as quickly as possible to let you know if I can’t take a job.

My belief is that no one belongs in your home but me, who you’ve vetted and trust. I generally treat your home as like I’m polite extended family guest. I’m quiet, clean, and will make sure everything is how you left it. I don’t board any pets because I have a small apartment and two kitties who’d rather not share.

A typical day
I’m a fan of walks if your puppies like those, but I’m happy to chill with them on the couch. We can play, watch Netflix together, and they are more than happy to help me grade essays. Often with kitties, I’ll put on a podcast and then sit with them as much as they like. Sometimes they just need a person to be with them.

I'm a high school teacher (12 years!), and I love petsitting as way to make a little extra money for my summer travels. This year I’m saving for a trip to Southern Europe. I normally only petsit after school, but I have wider availability on weekends and school holidays. When housesitting, I take care of your home as much as if it were my own. I bring over food to make for myself, my little travel bag to stay over, and I’ll take care of your home and pets. Thankfully I find it easy to feel at home in new places, and I always love to give people the peace of mind that their home and pets are safe while they’re away. I do still go to work at my normal hours. No one will enter your home without your approval as well. I love reading, podcasts, Third Place Books, and Netflix. I’m a not-crazy Swiftie. I grew up with Dobermans, dachshunds, ferrets, cats, etc. I'm not scared of large breeds - usually they are the biggest sweethearts. Personally I have two sweet kitties, Lucy and Ethel, whom I adopted from the SPCA. LGBTQIA+ friendly. If there is anything you need from me to feel safe and comfortable, please just ask. Ex: mask-wearing, perfume/scents, shoes in the home, etc.

Caitlyn did an excellent job house sitting and watching our two pups! She was super communicative, friendly, and provided lots of updates throughout her stay. On top of excellent dog card, she was a very courteous house guest!
Caitlyn was a wonderful sitter for our sweet kittie! We were so thankful to receive her daily communications as well as photos and videos, and Callie cat clearly took to her right away :) We would absolutely book her again. Thank you so much for the thoughtful and caring person you are.
Caitlyn was so good with our older dog. I was worried he’d be disappointed we had returned home.
