I can follow your care instructions no matter how lengthy. I’m a very detail-oriented owner myself and my cats are on two different routines, so I completely understand and relate to specialized needs. I did work at a shelter so I have experience with the unique needs of different animals, but even if all you need is for someone to come play with your pet and send you cute pics of them while you’re gone, I’m your girl!
Information Caitlyn K. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pets have any special needs I can account for. I'm pretty comfortable with most forms of medication administering, as I've had to do so on a number of animals in the past. I also know cat and dog CPR and can perform the Heimlich maneuver.
A typical day
I love playing with and grooming animals. I think enrichment and new experiences are really important for animals to flourish, whether it's exercise, a puzzle, or learning a new trick. As a former dog groomer, I'm especially keen on making sure animals are desensitized to paw and mouth handling so that their regular checkups and other services can go smoothly. My cats actually get excited for nail trims, believe it or not! I achieve things like this through plenty of positive reinforcement (read: treats).

Pets
I’m passionate about animals!!!
Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a kid! Dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, fish, hamsters, rats, and birds. I minored in Animal Sciences at LSU, where I got my degree in 2023. Right now, I have two cats but I love all animals. Exotic animals hold a special place in my heart since they require specialized care and knowledge but I’m definitely a dog and cat person as well. I’d love to meet your babies and I’m looking forward to treating them as my own :)

Reviews

Caitlyn is the absolute best!! Always a pleasure to have her watch my baby. Clea communication and sends the cutest pics!

Caitlyn went above and beyond, staying way longer than we discussed to ensure my cat got her medication. She was very communicative and my girls seemed great when I got home.

Caitlyn was great!! Very responsive and proactive in ensuring that all care for my cat happened as needed over the holidays. I appreciated her kindness and attention to detail. Definitely recommend!!

Would not recommend. Didn’t remember the dates/times that she had agreed to care for our dogs. Then we came home to a smelly house due to poop bags being left in our kitchen trash. Also found a smeared poop stain on our couch that she claimed to know nothing about. No pictures/videos were sent & little/poor communication.
