Dogs truly are MY best friends 🧡
After nearly 15 years, I have decided to TRY (emphasis on "try") not owning a dog for a while..until our children are a bit older. The only way this will work is if we continue to have dogs in our home regularly - to keep my cup filled 🐾 We have an amazing dog-friendly and secure backyard, river trails within a block of our home, and two off-leash dog parks within 1km. We also have a family that LOVES dogs 🐕❤️. Even our one cat is a huge dog lover. If you're dog has reliable recall, my kids and I would LOVE to take them to the dog park! If they're better with an ol' fashioned leash walk, that sounds great too. I'm happy to do whatever gets us all some fresh air and exercise! My husband isn't keen on sharing the bed with animals...but I do have a dedicated puppy cuddle couch in the TV room, should your furry friend be allowed on furniture occasionally. If not, no worries - I'm happy to sit on the floor for one-on-one time. Leaving your dog with a stranger is scary - I get that. But I can assure you, I have always had a knack and comfort with dogs, so I am confident in my abilities to read their body language. If they're uncomfortable or grumpy, I know how to step in before issues arise. If they have a sick tummy, I know how to use a steam cleaner. If they need a vet, I know when to make that call. Entrusting me with your furbaby is a sure way to enjoy your time away with the comfort of knowing they're in the best possible care!

Caitlyn is a wonderful human being and helped me and lot for a last minute sitting. She was waiting for me to drive to her place. She has wonderful kids and pets that you pets can play with them and keep you pet busy all the time! Caitlyn is 100% my best and favorite sitter 🤗 Thank Caitlyn for being such a life saver🫡

Caitlyn took exceptional care of Leo for the entire day. Despite the last-minute booking, she was incredibly accommodating and responsive. Throughout the day, she kept me updated with adorable pictures of Leo. Her caring nature shone through as she inquired about Leo's details, such as allergies. After spending the day at their place, Leo enjoyed a peaceful sleep, a clear indication that he had a wonderful time. I've already booked her services for the next day. One funny incident occurred during pickup - a dog appeared out of nowhere and followed me to Caytlin's place. Nevertheless, she welcomed the dog warmly until she found his owner.
Caitlyn is a true animal lover with an incredible ability to connect with creatures of all kinds. She never misses a chance to greet a passing dog, and her warmth is so genuine that even my shy cat, who hides from everyone else, goes to her without hesitation. Caitlyn’s trustworthiness and reliability are unmatched—I trust her so completely with my animals that I’ve willed them to her, knowing she would provide them with the love and care they deserve. She’s a rare and special person who has a natural gift for making animals and people alike feel safe and cherished.

Schedule
Giving your pet a "home-away-from-home" means being realistic about what boarding looks like in our busy household! My husband and I both work full-time. Which means, weekday boarding would require your pet to be alone from about 7:30 - 4:30pm. We would only ever petsit when we had the evenings 100% free because it wouldn't be fun for your pet at all if they were alone all day anf then the evening too, would it?! Weekends are a different story. Saturdays and Sundays we look for just about any excuse to be outside and we always look for dog-friendly activities and adventures. So, your dog could expect loads of fun over the weekends 🙃

We have a large house and a secure, fenced yard. Our kids are used to being around animals; they respect that while some animals like to play, others need more personal space . Our animal rules include staying out of the dog crate and off of the dog bed no matter what, so your pupper will have a private and safe space at all times. We also restrict the kids from being around dogs during meals.

A typical day
Lots of walks and dog park time, playing in the back yard with a ball or just running around playing chase, car rides, cuddles, TV time, etc.
