I have cared for pets of all kinds throughout my life. When I was a child my dad bred and showed Alaskan malamutes and my mom raced Siberian huskies. I always aided around the house by exercising, training, socializing, feeding, grooming, and cleaning up after the family dogs. As an adult I have volunteered with the humane society where I last lived in Pullman WA. In addition to volunteer hours at the shelter I acted as a foster for puppies, kittens, and adult cats. I have pet-sit for coworkers, family, and friends on many occasions. I have experience with: -large and small dog breeds -pets of all ages -high-energy dog breeds such as huskies and border collies -pets with dietary restrictions -pets on medication regimens -pets with at-home care regimens including wound cleaning, application of topical ointments, and even once an elderly cat who needed at-home IV fluids. I am available to pet sit for all of the below, having either kept them personally or cared for them in the past: -dogs -cats -small rodents -birds -reptiles -amphibians -salt and freshwater aquariums -other invertebrate pets Attention dog owners!!!! I care deeply for the well-being of the dogs I am hired to look after, for this reason there is one kind of booking I am no longer accepting. I WILL NOT ACCEPT any booking requests for canine drop-in visits when the dog's owner is going to be gone longer than 36hrs. In such cases, I've come to the conclusion that it is unfair to the dog, I cannot provide your dog care that I feel proud of with only 1-2 short visits in an entire day knowing that I'm going to be the only person coming anytime soon. If you wish to leave town for an extended period, and want to hire me to care for your canine, I suggest you book sitting rather than drop-in visits. While short daily visits are fairly standard for extended cat bookings, I believe dogs require a greater standard of care.

I am unable to care for other people's pets in my own home at this time. I am, however, able to commute to or stay at your place to pet-sit your furry friends. If your pooch has a preferred trail, neighborhood, or dog park they like to go for exercise I can accommodate your and your pooch's preferences. I will always respect your preferences as far as what leads/harnesses I use. I will always respect your preferences in regards to whether I give your pets treats, how much I give, or what kinds of treats I give. I will do my best to always use your style of behavior correction/reinforcement, and always use the same commands and signals you use with your furry friend.

Caitlyn was lovely; all the qualities you'd want in a pet carer - timely, reliable, thorough, helpful, and communicative. In addition to feeding my cats and cleaning the litter box, she played with them daily, brought in the mail, kept an eye out for an unexpected package delivery, and vacuumed the laundry room where the litter box is kept. The cats and I are happy and satisfied with Caitlyn's service.
Caitlyn is very reliable, which is important in my mom’s situation of assisted living. And Oliver loves her. What more could you ask? Thank you, Caitlyn!
Absolutely fantastic! Great about meeting the dogs, especially our more nervous dog. When we got back, the dogs were happy and relaxed. They seemed excited to see Caitlyn and we feel confident leaving them in her hands!
Caitlyn is very attentive and communicative-when things go well (with pictures!) and when there are challenges. She has watched our dog serval times now and we’d highly recommend her. Buster is always calm and happy when we return.
Caitlyn is completely reliable and easy to communicate with. We appreciate her care for Oliver!

I am accepting one-time bookings while I look for permanent work in the area. I usually won't accept walking or drop-in bookings on Sunday mornings.
