I took a brief hiatus from the vet field to do rover full time for a while, but I eventually opted for a more consistent paycheck and am back in the clinic now. I also took a brief hiatus from rover whilst I was pregnant, though I never stopped caring for my pre exsisting regular clients, but I am happy to say my partner and I are both accepting new clients again.

Information Caitlin W. would like to know about your pet

Id like to know about your pets daily routine as well as how acclimated they are to others, be it people or other pets. What is their energy level, are they chewers, are they escape artists, do they have a high prey drive, do they have any medical needs or conditions I should be aware of.

A typical day

I enjoy taking pets for walks and playing with their toys, I provide plenty of cuddles to the ones who want it, and I also offer basic grooming such as simple cuts, baths, ear cleaning, anal glands expressions, etc. I have frequently helped identify potential health issues with pets that may have gone unnoticed before due to my background in the veterinary field. In addition to all of that I am also happy to work with any pets and their owners with their training.

Addie had a great time with Caitlin. We got pictures and had no concerns while we were away. Thank you Caitlin!

I really wanted to have Caitlin as my FURever sitter, but no thank you. The other negative reviews seem legit and I should’ve took them into consideration, but I just looked at the ratings instead.. my fault. The first few times I used Caitlin, my dogs were so ecstatic to see her! So these were all good signs right? But as more stays were booked I noticed a lot of my items that were sent with my dogs were not returned to me. My dog food container, my dog scoop, my dog bowl, my dogs leash.. I’ve read in other reviews that leashes were getting mixed up.. it’s been a week since I’ve heard back about my dogs stay which I have now canceled. I read other reviews say they received pictures but out of all the stays I’ve booked, I’ve only received 1 picture. It’s really hard to try to contact Caitlin as well. She responds days-weeks later. I have Rovers message to contact, her personal cell (does not work), and her significant others cell… also doesn’t work. Every time my dogs came back home, they would rush to the water bowl… also it’s listed in her info that it’s a non-smoking household, but the last stay that was booked, they came home smelling like cigarettes…. There’s other negative things to say but I think I’ll just keep it here….. Sorry.

Don’t let the 5 stars and the rave reviews fool you! I should have known when I tried messaging her several times on Rover prior to my dogs’ stay, and it was nearly impossible to get a response. There are a few bad reviews and I should have paid more attention to those. I am so disappointed. The description in Caitlin’s bio made her home sound like doggie paradise. I felt very confident that she would be “the one” for my pups whenever we went away. We moved two years ago and my previous sitter was too far so I have been trying to find a good reliable sitter since. We left to go out of town very early so I had my daughter drop them off mid-morning. I had not heard anything from Caitlin so I messaged to see how things were going. She didn’t respond until nearly 24 hours later saying they were doing great and a brief update on each of them. Tried messaging her two days later after not receiving any updates or photos, and did not get a response until the morning I was to pick them up - 3 DAYS LATER - (and only because I sent a message directly to her cell phone) saying everything is great and giving an excuse that her phone has been “really struggling lately”. I’ve had sitters in the past and have always gotten at least daily updates, and photos and video. Caitlin had 94 reviews, mostly great, 5 stars, and many of the reviews stated that they received numerous pics and daily updates throughout their dog’s stay. I did not receive a single update without prompting, and even then, only one. I didn’t receive a single photo or video until after I sent a message directly to her cell phone because she wasn’t responding through Rover, the morning I was to pick them up (it was a 7 day/6 night stay), and it was a terrible photo of ONE of my two dogs with 3 other dogs. I had asked about having them bathed and a nail clip prior to pickup, and she offered to do that free of charge. When I went to pick them up I was shocked at how this home looked. The grass out front was about waist high, and I couldn’t see in the back yard because of all of the junk in the carport area. Had I been the one to drop them off, I probably would have turned around and left. I was never invited into the home and can only imagine what it was like inside. Also, on the morning I was to pick them up, she asked for a description of their leashes because she couldn’t find them. When she finally brought my dogs out, they were on someone else’s leashes. She said she probably sent their leashes home with someone else accidentally. She told me to keep these and when she found theirs she would let me know and I could come get them. I gave the leashes back, however, so that the next person would have theirs when they arrived to pick up their dogs. It’s been a week and I haven’t heard anything. One of my dogs, the one that was not in the photo, ran into the house when we got home and literally drank two full bowls of water. My Bulldog came home with a terrible rash on her belly. Both had terrible gas and it smelled as though they had been fed something other than their own food. The gas lasted about 2 days and was awful! One of my dogs had severe diarrhea in her crate during the first night home which has never happened before. Neither of my dogs are themselves. They are very sluggish and almost seem depressed. It took several days for them to recover. I do not trust that they were well cared for at all - in fact, I feel like they were probably neglected terribly for an entire week. I am sick over it. I also messaged to ask her if she had fed them something other than their food because of the gas and diarrhea, and she never responded. I don’t understand how in the world she has 5 stars and 90+ rave reviews. I have never had such an awful experience with a pet sitter before, and will never leave them there again.
