Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina near the beautiful Pisgah National Forest and the Ecusta Trail, we provide a peaceful, home-based alternative to traditional kennels. Our mission is simple: to give your dog the same love, attention, and care that we would give our own. As a former veterinary technician with over 10 years of professional experience, I understand that every dog is unique. My background allows me to provide knowledgeable, attentive care while recognizing the importance of your pet's health, comfort, and individual needs. Whether your dog is an energetic adventure companion or prefers a slower pace, their well-being is always my top priority. Our home sits on a fully fenced one-acre property where dogs can safely play, explore, and relax. We believe that a happy dog is an active dog, so daily walks, outdoor adventures, enrichment activities, and plenty of one-on-one attention are part of the experience. As an avid hiker, trail runner, and outdoor enthusiast, I love helping dogs enjoy the natural beauty that makes our mountain community so special. A typical day includes a morning and evening walk with plenty of time in between to lounge / sniff / explore the fenced in property.

Information Caitlin W. would like to know about your pet

Meet & greets are required before taking care of your pets. Please advise of any food allergies for treats as well as preferences for walking. Is your dog active? Would they rather be a coach potato? How would you like me to entertain your dog? Do they like other dogs? Are they food aggressive? Would you like pictures of them during their stay with me? How often do they like to go outside? Are they sensitive to any sounds?

A typical day

I am super active and would love (with permission) to take your dogs to the dog park, a long walk around the neighborhood bike path, on a hike at DuPont or Pisgah, or just simply snuggle up to a Harry Potter film in the evening. If you're dogs prefer to stay at home, that's quite fine too, I also love a quiet night hanging out at the house.

Pet care experience

For more than 10 years, I've dedicated my life to caring for animals through both professional veterinary medicine and personalized pet care. As a former veterinary technician and experienced pet sitter, I've worked with pets of all ages, personalities, and medical needs—from energetic puppies and active working dogs to senior pets requiring specialized attention and medication administration. My passion for animals extends far beyond my professional experience. As an avid trail runner, mountain biker, hiker, and outdoor enthusiast, I spend much of my time exploring the incredible trails, forests, and mountains of Western North Carolina. I believe that exercise, enrichment, and time spent outdoors are essential components of a happy, healthy life for both people and dogs. I've combined my veterinary background with my love of the outdoors to create a unique pet care experience. Whether your dog enjoys leisurely walks, backyard play sessions, trail adventures, or simply relaxing in a peaceful home environment, I strive to provide individualized care that meets their specific needs.
