I have experience caring for senior dogs with medication and mobility requirements as well puppies of all strengths and sizes that bite and yap and nibble. I give them time to adjust to my presence so they can feel as calm and content as possible. I've also raised a rescue dog and horse, both of whom encountered neglect and abuse and came to be calm and happy companions. I use positive reinforcement and affirmation to encourage animals to feel safe and happy in my presence. I have dogs sat and walked all types of dogs and will modify for different energy levels and mobility needs. I am an avid hiker and have owned a very high energy dog so long walks are welcome and I'm also content taking lower energy dogs on slower and shorter walks. I am also comfortable feeding dogs, following schedules and giving dogs medications (though written instructions are required for everybodies peace of mind).

Safety, trust & environment
First and foremost I prefer to meet the dog at its home so that it can become comfortable with my presence. I like to let them adjust to me before handling them so they do not become too anxious, especially given they will be away from their owner. I do ask for written instructions for feeding schedules, particular walking routines or habits and medication needs. I am strictly against negative reinforcement, shouting at the dog, harming the dog in any regard and will not use harmful collars like shock or biting collars. If they stay at mine I ask that they can have their own bed and toys from home as I have found this makes them feel safer in a new environment. I am strong and capable so if I need to carry or help any dogs with mobility I am happy to do so.

Caitlin took care of our two kittens for a few days while my partner and I were traveling. She did everything we asked and kept us regularly updated, which we really appreciated. This was the second time she’s looked after our cats (she had done a drop-in visit before), but it was the first time we’d been away for that long. I was pretty worried at first, but thanks to Caitlin, we were able to relax and fully enjoy our vacation. She’s incredibly trustworthy 😊
We first met Caitlin with the intention of having her look after our cats for a few days while we travel in December. However, due to work, we ended up needing her to look after them for an hour beforehand, and we absolutely loved her. She fed the cats, played with them, and cleaned the litter trays. Now we can go on our trip feeling completely at ease, knowing the cats will be in great hands. Thank you! Xx
Caitlin has looked after my horse and dog. I find her to be friendly, knowledgeable and reliable, more importantly my animals love her. I strongly believe that pets know best.
Caitlin is great with our three dogs, two Bearded Collies and a lively Briard. She is great with our dogs and they are very happy in her care. I would, without hesitation, use her dog sitting services again and again my dogs are in safe hands.

Schedule
I am a cleaner outside of animal care so I have a very flexible schedule and many of my hobbies are outdoorsy and revolve around exercise.
