Exceptional Pet and Home Care

Professional Animal Care Experience I am experienced and nurturing with animals, bringing a calm, focused presence to each house sit. I offer premium, attentive care rather than casual drop-in service, with a strong background in rescue animals and sensitive temperaments. Over the years I have cared for many canine and feline companions, and have done animal care, house sitting, and property care in a variety of homes and settings. My background includes rescue animals with separation anxiety, digestive sensitivities, shyness, and other special needs, so I've learned to read what an animal needs even when they can't tell me directly. I am comfortable administering medications, injections, and special meals, and I hold routines and boundaries closely. I have a particular fondness for senior companions, and I am also trained as an animal communicator, which adds a layer of insight into subtle cues. I offer trustworthiness, and a bit of wisdom earned over many years of doing this work. What sets me apart * Experience with medications, injections, and special meals * Experienced and attuned to subtle cues * Deep background with rescue animals and sensitive temperaments * Particular fondness and skill with senior companions * Experienced in house sitting and property care * Background that also includes equine therapy * Excellent references * Flexible and adaptable to new homes and environments Please note that I am not the right fit for canine companions who are strong leash pullers or constant barkers, as I work best in calmer environments where I can provide the best level of attention.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I adapt to the needs of each housesitting assignment. If they like to play, then we play. If they need walks, we walk. As mentioned above, I can give medications, injections and abide by the guidelines needed for each animal. I am quiet, so the home will be peaceful. I am clean. I abide by the pets needs for meals. I enjoy walks in nature -- walking dogs has been part of my life for decades. I have a lot of empathy for animals, give them a lot of attention, and am able to tune into subtle needs. I sleep with my own dog companions next to me in their own bed, and when younger they would sleep in a crate near me. I'm adaptable to the needs of the dogs I housesit with; and love to cuddle if they are the cuddly type. If not, I allow them to have their space. PS. I'm a retired art therapist, wellness coach and was a home owner for many years; was also an Airbnb super host, enjoying creating nurturing spaces. I'm detailed oriented and know how to take good care of a home.

Caitlin took wonderful care of our dog in our home while we were away. We received updates and photos and came home to a happy pup and clean house! We would recommend her for any dog sitting needs.

Caitlin was amazing, and we felt very comfortable leaving our dogs with her. We received regular updates, along with photos. I loved that Caitlin was very interested in making sure that she was comfortable with us, our dogs, and our home, before accepting the job. I will not hesitate to use her again!

I'm retired and able to give a lot of attention to your furry ones, according to their needs. I lived in Spain the last three years and now back to the U.S to work on a book, which i can take anywhere I go, making it easy to be fully available for animal care and home needs, on an hourly and daily basis. Pet care daily has been part of my life for many, many years.

Yes, of course I will need to know what the pets needs are before committing to the job, and be sure I am the right person for their needs. That means asking the right questions, being clear about boundaries, needs or any issues that might come up, around eating, walking, whether there is fear of cars, people, other dogs, etc.
