For other peoples pets, taking care of them to me means ensuring all details and instructions left for them by owners are followed and that they're getting the appropriate amounts of exercise, potty breaks, food, and training every day :) I love dogs and just want to see them taken care of with the knowledge of their owners and care of someone who really cares. In my home, I prioritize my pet care by ensuring they have high-quality food they would naturally be eating, and by ensuring they have the proper amounts of exercise for their breed to balance out their rich diets and maintain the healthiness and happiness of the animals.

Information Caitlin M. would like to know about your pet
I do have experience caring for sick and senior animals. That said please do let me know if your pet needs special attention or assistance so I can plan our day more appropriately! As for basic information, please let me know if they have a favorite/comfort toy, how they are around other dogs at parks, and if they know their recall by name or sound/action.
A typical day
On a typical day for a dog sitting, we would head to a quiet park to start to play a bit one-on-one and make sure they feel comfortable around me and get used to me. Then we'll take a water break and sit for a bit before heading over to a park with an enclosed dog play area! For an hour or two, to play with other dogs and (on leash) run around the park with me. Average energy dogs will be quite ready for a nap at this point so we'll find either a quiet spot outside or head back to my home for a rest (and lunch if they eat 3 times). Then of course out again for a potty break and longer but more relaxed walk around a quieter part of the city and then back to their parents! I like to do lots of outdoor activity and if it is a high-energy dog that works great too we'll do more walking from place to place as opposed to using any trains to make sure they're having all of their needs met :) Same for low-energy dogs we can either take more breaks or end the active part of the day sooner, pending of course what their owner thinks is best!

From Chaos to Couch Potatoes

Hello! I’ve been taking care of dogs, fish, and farm animals for over 6 years. I've cared for dogs ranging from energetic Border Collies to stocky couch potato English Labradors, chaotic Belgian Malinois, and table-height Great Danes. My family and I own two dogs at the moment and growing up with them has given me experience in how to walk, feed, bathe, and care for both dogs and several other exotic/farm pets. My experience includes basic-intermediate obedience training, high levels of public behaviour training, recalls, basic commands, and some service training! I love animals and dog walking to me is a great way to stay connected with my love for them while having a side hustle to support me through college.
