Pet care experience

Pet Lover & Shelter Volunteer

I have always loved animals and have experience caring for pets both personally and through volunteer work. I currently volunteer with the San Diego Humane Society where I help walk dogs, supervise play time, clean kennels, and assist with the daily care of animals. This experience has helped me become comfortable handling dogs with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. I also grew up with three dogs and a cat, and I still help care for them whenever I visit my family. Through this I’ve become very familiar with feeding routines, exercise needs, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. What sets me apart is that I truly enjoy spending time with animals and giving them my full attention. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to follow detailed instructions so your pet stays comfortable and keeps their normal routine. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, or just some extra company, I’ll make sure they feel cared for and happy.

Caitlin is one of the most responsible and caring people I know, especially when it comes to animals. 💝 She has always loved animals and treats them with so much kindness and attention. She’s incredibly organized and detail-oriented, and her experience as president of her sorority shows in how reliable she is! Caitlin is also very easy to communicate with. She’s friendly, responsive, and has good vibes. I trust her completely to care for any pet like they’re her own.

Hi everyone, I have known Caitlin all her life. She is my daughter, and has always been an animal lover and all animals adore her. She has always been responsible and we have often had her look after our pets when we are gone( 2 dogs and a cat). She is a caring person and takes pride in all that she does.

Schedule

I currently work a 9 to 5 schedule during the week, but pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’m happy to stop by for walks, drop in visits, or bathroom breaks before work, after work, or during breaks if needed while pet sitting. I’m also available for overnight care any day of the week. On weekends I have full availability for pet sitting, longer visits, and walks, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, and routines so your pet stays happy and comfortable while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat the space with respect and make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. My volunteer experience with the San Diego Humane Society has also helped me become comfortable working with animals with different personalities and needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions. I would love to meet you and your pet!

A typical day

I love keeping pets active, happy, and engaged while their owners are away. Depending on the pet’s energy level, we can go on walks, play fetch, spend time outside, or just relax and keep each other company. If your dog enjoys adventures, I’d love to bring them to the beach or spend time outside exploring and playing (don’t worry, we’ll always get cleaned up afterward!). I always try to match each pet’s personality and comfort level so they feel safe and have fun.

Before caring for a pet, I like to learn about their routine, personality, and any specific needs. It’s helpful to know feeding schedules, walk routines, favorite activities, and whether they have any medical needs or medications. I also like to know how they interact with other dogs or people, and if there are any triggers or behaviors to watch for.
