Calm, Structured Care 4 Happy Dogs
I've been pet sitting for 21 years and have spent my life caring for animals of all kinds. Over the years, I've worked as a pet sitter, dog walker, kennel assistant, veterinary assistant, and now working toward a profession of dog training, giving me experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, personalities, and energy levels. What sets me apart is that I don't simply exercise dogs - I help them build better habits. Every walk is a training opportunity, with a focus on calm behaviour, loose leash walking, engagement, impulse control, and good manners, all tailored to your dog's individual needs. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, reactive or anxious dogs, high-energy breeds, and pets requiring medication or special care. Whether your dog needs an adventure, extra patience, or a consistent routine while you're away, I'll care for them as if they were my own while providing plenty of updates and photos for your peace of mind.

Ratings and reviews
I can’t say enough good things about Caitlin and the care she has given my dogs over the years. She is attentive, reliable, and always treats my dogs like they’re her own. I have complete peace of mind knowing they’re in such loving and capable hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Caitlin to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pets.
There's dog lovers then there is Caitlin. Not only did she gain my pups trust instantly, but I also felt the it! Within the first few outings my pit-bull staffy, Harvey had improved with leash tugging and his recall was sharper. See ya next week!
Caitlin is the female dog whisperer. Her passion and love for dogs truly shows every time she's around them. I've seen her take two rescue dogs with behavioural issues and change them for the better. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks and Caitlin will prove that to you! Not only is she a wealth of knowledge about dog behaviour but she truly cares about these animals and will go above and beyond to make sure they get their needs met consistantly. You can feel confident about leaving your dogs with Caitlin!

Schedule
I'm currently building my dog training business full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate my attention to every pet in my care. I'm available for weekday walks, drop-in visits, daycare, boarding, and overnight care. Because I intentionally limit the number of pets I care for at one time, every dog receives plenty of individual attention, exercise, and enrichment. My goal is quality care - not rushing from appointment to appointment.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Your pet's safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I take the time to understand each dog's personality, routines, and comfort level before every booking. I use secure equipment, practice safe handling, and never introduce unfamiliar dogs unless requested by the owner. For boarding, dogs become part of my daily routine with structured walks, rest periods, enrichment activities, and lots of one-on-one attention. I maintain a calm environment that helps dogs feel relaxed and secure while you're away. You'll also receive regular photo updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

A typical day
Every day is tailored to your dog’s energy level, personality, training needs, and comfort. Depending on the dog, our day might include trail hikes, structured neighbourhood walks, off-leash adventures in appropriate areas, or slower sensory walks with plenty of time to sniff and explore. I incorporate basic obedience, leash manners, engagement, and recall practice naturally throughout the day, so walks provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation. On warm days, we may head to the lake for a swim or some time by the water when appropriate. There’s also plenty of downtime built in between activities so dogs can rest, decompress, and feel at home rather than being on the go all day.
