Availability

I am available at the weekdays and weekends for walking, dog sitting and drop in visits. I am able to do longer hikes or jogs with your dogs too (if they are younger or high energy). If you leave them with me, they will have a great time, get some treats and will most likely come back to you tired and ready for a nap.

Safety, trust & environment

I usually travel with my dogs in my dog seat cover / basket on my backseats. I will usually give my dogs treats occasionally throughout the day and probably yours too as well as making sure their water bowl is full. I will always chill with my dog too and play with them when they start getting their energy back. When I hike/ jog with my dogs, it will always be in a safe area and I usually try out new/different trails where I use an extender lead or let them off to explore (but, will obviously do whatever you would feel comfortable with in terms of on/off a lead). I will also adjust where I walk my dogs (or any dog) depending on the weather so, if it is hotter, I will usually walk them near a water source, forest or somewhere with shade. But, if it is cooler, I would more likely go to places like the ridgeway etc… where the sun would be a problem for longer walks. Your dog will most likely get muddy or wet on walks (with the crazy English weather) but, I always use towels to dry/ clean them up

Information Caitlin D. would like to know about your pet

I love all dogs (big or small) but, if there are any special adjustments I should make or conditions I should know about when looking after or walking them, please let me know.

A typical day

Usually it will involve a hike where your dog can have the freedom to run around and sniff (on or off the lead), have a few treats and play their favourite game.

Pet care experience

I have had and loved dogs for all my life. From having just finished my rowing scholarship in the USA, I now want to delve into my other passions which is working with animals and animal care. My family has had purebreds from Rhodesian Ridgeback’s, Labradors, West Highland Terriers to rescues (that obviously are a whole range of breeds). We currently have two Romanian rescue dogs, Tora and Finn. They were both one year old when we got them and both had traumatic pasts. It has taken around a year for both of them to feel more settled and comfortable doing most things like even getting into a car. Thus, I have experience with dogs who have had a rough beginning. I am an active person and love going on hikes, jogs and camping trips with them. My favorite thing is to see any dog running around, tails up, happy and knowing I’m giving them a fun, adventure filled life that they deserve.

Thank you Caitlin and Rover! We're delighted to have found Caitlin to care for our two lovely but a little demanding cocker spaniels. Caitlin stayed overnight and we came back to two very well exercisesd, happy dogs and a spotless house. Other than being lovely and relaxed with us and dogs and bearing with me not always following the process correctly (first Rover experience on our side...) Caitlin was also helpfully flexible when the weather disrupted out train travel home - with no fuss at all. We would highly recommend Caitlin - just preferably not at a time when we need dogsitting!!

Luna absolutely loved her sleepover with Caitlyn. We've never used a house sitter before so were a bit nervous but Caitlyn came round to meet Luna beforehand which really helped us feel at ease. She took Luna on lots of walks and she was absolutely shattered when I got back and the house was as clean and tidy as we'd left it. Would highly recommend Caitlyn and I think Luna would love another sleepover at some point.

Caitlin looked after my Staffie Frankie for two nights. He seems to have had a lovely time-Caitlin sent plenty of photos and updates which I loved. He was obviously enjoying his walks and was very chilled on my return. Would definitely use again and recommend.
