I am obsessed with every animal under the sun, although the fluffy ones are my favorite. I have had a snake and hermit crabs as pets (in addition to the usual dogs and cats). I am notorious for remembering a pet's name while forgetting the name of their human. Nothing gives me more joy than meeting a new animal and learning all their quirks. I especially love working with pets who need a little extra care and attention. I spent five years living with a highly reactive dog, and have done reactivity training with my own dog for around 4 years. I have also served as a dog-walker for the local animal shelter, performing basic leash training with high-energy dogs. I really enjoy working animals on their terms - I am happy to sit quietly with a dog or cat until they feel comfortable enough to approach me. One of the reasons I like house-sitting and drop-ins are because pets tend to be much more confident and comfortable in their home, especially with a stranger. Whatever their needs, I will make sure to keep them comfy and happy.
