Pet care experience

Pet People of SLC 😇✨🐶🐱

Hello! We’re Ryan and Caileigh - newish residents of Salt Lake (we moved in January 2023 and took a lil hiatus from Rover to get acclimated here) after a year in Fort Worth, TX and four years in Tucson, Arizona, where we met. Coincidentally, we were both raised in the Midwest where we grew up caring for animals (Ryan and his family always had dogs, while Caileigh’s parents were “cat-people”). Now we’re “mom and dad” to two dogs and a cat 🐶🐱 and they are the best of friends. Ryan is highly intuitive with animals and will become your pets’ good buddy in minutes. This makes Caileigh jealous, but it’s one of many reasons she loves Ryan. Caileigh is “mother bear” - making sure the children take their allergy medicine in the morning and calls quits on roughhousing when it gets dark at night. Together we believe animals are the purest of souls who deserve lots of love and a life full of FUN! Whether your pet is trained and socialized, or still learning and is more comfortable on their own, we will be patient and accepting of where they’re at 😇💖🐶🐱🐢🐠✨ Caileigh works from home alternating weeks while Ryan works Monday-Thursday. Caileigh’s office has a view into the backyard, where she can watch the animals play. We have lots of sticks and toys to be shared for pet play-dates any day of the week. There is also always an open seat (laps and furniture included!) by the fire at night for those who need a cozy place to stay when their pet-parent(s) go out of town. We’re able to host a variety of animals with diverse needs. Our dog and cat are social beings, but understand the need for space. We have a tidy home for animals who prefer a warm, cozy indoor space. We also have a three-car garage for animals who may not be crate trained or well socialized; our dog loves laying on the cold cement! We have a fenced-in yard if your pet likes to play with others, as ours are eager to share the space; however, they enjoy our front yard, too - and will keep an “ear up” for “suspicious activity” (😉🙃) to ensure our guests (your animal children) have a safe, stress-free environment to spend time in while their humans are away. Please ask questions! You will always be welcomed with open arms and belly rubs.

Doggy Day Care • Dec 23, 2025

I was nervous about trying rover again because of a bad experience I had. However, Caileigh and Ryan have been absolutely phenomenal with my dog June! They sent me videos, photos, updates, and even a report card with her bowel activity, meals, and water breaks (something I had not received from the last person I used). June has fallen in love with them and their dogs and I can tell she misses them when we are home. They even cooked chicken and rice for June and their dogs and sent me the video of June eating it. She was in heaven! When I met them they showed me around the yard and we made sure June wasn’t able to escape anywhere. They made an extra effort to blockade one spot in their yard that was a little sketchy and that my dog was very interested in. They are a few of the kindest people I’ve ever met and even went out of their way to help me with an issue I was stressed about. I’m using them weekly while I work a seasonal job, and they’ve put my mind at ease about leaving my dog with a stranger. I hope they never move because I found some very amazing caretakers! If you’re questioning booking with them, don’t! Your dog will be in the best care, and will probably fall in love with them. Highly recommend!

This was the best experience ever! Caileigh and Ryan took such great care of my dog. She had special feeding and medication requirements and they did it all. My dog had a blast with their dogs and they loved on her like their own. The communication was wonderful and I was sent several pictures a day updating me on how my dog was doing. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Doggy Day Care • Oct 07, 2022

We are so happy to have found Caileigh & Ryan to take care of our little guy while we had a long day out. It was our first time leaving him with someone & I was very nervous, but Caeleigh was so sweet and communicative the whole time. She sent us so many pics! Our Peanut came home so happy and exhausted from the play time! We will definitely be reaching out again whenever we need someone to care for him. Thank you so much for taking care of our boy!!

Caileigh and Ryan were fabulous. Batman and Robin had such a good time and came back worn out from all the fun. We will definitely be using them in the future. We were nervous leaving our puppy overnight for the first time but they really eased our concerns and sent regular pictures and check ins. We are so thankful we found these two and their kitty and doggy are both so sweet too!

Excellent dog sitters! Cailiegh and Ryan took our dog in for a few days and treated him as their own. He had a great time and was well cared for. Couldn't have asked for better sitters for our fur baby. Thank you Cailiegh and Ryan!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

Ryan has a 4-day work week; therefore fully available for the animal children Friday-Sunday. Caileigh works from home every other week, but can be flexible if needed, but her official days off are Sunday and Monday.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 2 dogs, 1 cat
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

As mentioned, we have a large fenced-in yard for social time and “rest” breaks ;) while we have plenty of quiet spaces inside for puppy-crating or pets who prefer to be away from the crowd. We also utilize the garage (in the cooler months) for post-bath drying, or big players who need cold ground to “sploot” on after doing “big runs” in the yard.

Pets

A typical day

Naturally, we stick to the classics - chewing sticks, playing tug, fetching balls; if we’re lucky… “hunt” squirrels and birds. Oh, and car rides! Who doesn’t love to stick their head out the window??! We have fun discovering new neighborhoods and hiking trails - dogs tend to seek out the best firewood for our evening bonfires (where they might receive a graham cracker treat?!)
