I love pets. When I was a child, I had a dog who spent 16 years with me. I loved her dearly, and through our time together, I gained valuable experience on how to care for a dog from puppyhood to old age. After losing my dog, I started caring for my friends’ pets when they were busy or traveling—and I’ve truly enjoyed every moment of it.

Our chocolate lab had another great stsy with Cady. She is comfortable and happy in their home and loves all the backyard fetch they do with her. We were very grateful that Cady was willing to take on the added challenge of her being in heat. Much appreciated!

Java loves calm, can be shy and stubborn. But she had the greatest time with Cady ! Many walks, great backyard perfect for sunbathing (which my puppy loves), she had a wonderful time at Cady's. Will reach out again for our 2027 Summer trip !

Schedule
We’ll follow your pet’s usual feeding, potty, and sleep routine as closely as possible. Just let us know if there’s anything special you’d like us to keep up while they’re staying with us. My husband and I both work during the weekdays, so your pet may be home alone for about 4–6 hours during the day. We always make sure they get a potty break before we leave and as soon as we get home, and the rest of the time they’ll enjoy plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles.

Safety, trust & environment
My husband and I live in a house with a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs have plenty of space to run and play safely. We also have separate areas in our home, so we can easily separate pets when needed.
A typical day
On a typical day, dogs get plenty of time in our fenced backyard and go for daily walks. If your pup loves playing fetch, we’re always happy to play with them! When they’re inside, they’re free to relax anywhere in the house. We also have Kongs and other toys to keep them entertained.
