Cadence can care for
Availability
I work a full-time M-F job at a non-profit that is mostly in-person, but have the ability to work remotely a few times a week when possible. I can do my best to work my schedule around pet-sitting and using my WFH days, but for longer stays, pets I sit for would need to be comfortable being alone for 4-5 hours. I understand that that does not meet everyone's needs!

I live in an apartment and do not offer boarding/sitting in my own home at this time. I am very aware of safety and know that rules are not arbitrary, and I will follow all the guidelines you ask of me for caring for your pet in your home.
Information Cadence P. would like to know about your pet
I love dogs (and all animals) of all shapes and sizes!! Let me know their favorite things, what you might be working on in terms of behavior, what tricks they know, and whatever else you think is important!
A typical day
I love taking them on new walks and hikes so they can experience all new sights and smells, but I also totally appreciate a couch potato who just wants to hang out together!

I grew up in a pack!
Pet care experience
My family and I fostered rescued dogs for 10+ years while I was growing up, and I was a part of everything that entails starting from a very young age - from cleaning up after them to teaching obedience to administering medication to getting up in the middle of the night to help housetrain them. I was a part of a 4-H dog club from the ages of 12 to 19, meaning I raised, trained, groomed, and provided all care was needed for my own dog, as well as competing in showmanship and obedience. I also raised a guide dog my last year of high school, meaning I provided all training and socialization for the dog to later become someone's service animal. I love everything about dogs (and all animals!) and will give them so much love, but I know the importance of good training and am not afraid to let them know who's boss!

Reviews

We love Cadence- she’s wonderful with our home and our pets, and we never worry while we’re away!

We love Cadence! We never have to worry leaving our menagerie of pets with her- she’s wonderful and keeps us updated with plenty of pictures and messages!

Cadence was the best! We were completely at ease the entire time we were gone while she watched our crazy household of 5 pets. The house was spotless when we got back and she even handled a massive snowstorm and made sure she knew all the emergency info if it was needed. We needed to come home a day later and she was extremely accommodating and flexible with that as well. Will definitely be using her again and can’t recommend her enough!!

Cadence was absolutely wonderful. She visited in advance to meet our two dogs and our cat, which immediately put us at ease. Throughout our trip, she communicated clearly, checked in regularly, and sent great photos that showed how relaxed and happy everyone was. We came home to pets who had been cared for and a clean house. She’s reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely a pro with animals. We’ll definitely be booking with Cadence again.
