Byron did a great job with my dogs. Got regular updates and he was able to get my stubborn dog to take her meds easily. He did great with my quirky dog who takes a bit to warm up to people but she was comfortable with him and he did well with her. Will book again!

Byron is very competent & caring. I would certainly trust him to watch my cats again if I go away. He’s been great!👍

Byron took good care of our dogs over the weekend. Our home was as we left it upon return. Byron showed up in a timely manner, and met our dogs 2x before staying the weekend with them. He made sure they were familiar with him, which was appreciated.

At my meet and greet with Byron, he was prompt for the meeting, and I felt very confident leaving my 9-month-old Goldendoodle in his care during my one-week vacation. I was particular with my rules with my puppy as she is still in the learning stages. I told Byron there are room restrictions during this learning process so she can be easily supervised. Walking/playtime with a 9-month-old puppy is vital, as her specific breed is high energy. Like some dogs, when they play with their toys, they love to go for the stuffing, which I also told him she will do. I made sure to point out any potential flaws/bad habits during the introduction meeting to ensure he felt comfortable taking this position. Unfortunately, during the stay, given the correspondence from Byron during my vacation, his puppy experience did not seem to meet expectations. During the text correspondence, I did feel uneasy about his questions about things we went over in the meet and greet, but he stated things were going well, so I was hopeful until I got home. Upon arriving home, it was very clear that she had been allowed into the bedrooms, as the blinds in my bedroom were ruined. Looking back at texts, he asked if she barks at squirrels and birds. Knowing what happened to the blinds, it became clear that it was from the wildlife in the woods of the door wall in my bedroom window. This will now cost me a lot of money to fix, which I was trying to avoid by being specific as to making sure the bedroom doors were closed or the gates provided were used to block entry. As I was preparing the trash to go out for pick up, I noticed that there no evidence of dog waste bags present that were used for pick up. I did ask Byron via text where they were so I could put them out, as I live in a condo community, he stated he didn't know where he put them. I have reached out to ask about some concerns from his stay; however, the response I got was vague, with no direct answer as to what happened. Unfortunately, he might not be up to watching pets requiring more attention and immediate pet waste removal in a shared community or on walks. I hope your experience is better than mine, and I hate to leave a bad review; however, I am disappointed in my Rover experience this vacation.

I would highly recommend Byron to care for your pets! He took care of our 2 dogs for 6 days in our home. He sent us pictures while we were gone and let us know how they were doing. Our older dog requires medication every day and is very anxious, and boarding her is just not an option anymore, so having someone care for her in our home was so much better for her. When we got home they were both happy and healthy. We will definitely use Byron again if we travel
