Availability
I’m available in the mornings and early afternoon, M-F and, occasionally, on the weekend (I always keep my calendar updated!). My partner works 8am-4pm so I generally reserve the evenings (4-11pm) to spend time with her and help out around our home. However, if your pet requires a check in or potty break during that time, I’m happy to do so! Regarding house sitting specifically, I typically spend the morning through afternoon with your pets (taking them for walks, playtime, and generally making sure they get some social time) and stay overnight. Please note however, I do sometimes have other clients (walking or drop-in visits) or errands I need to attend to so I may need to leave for short periods of time. All that said, my schedule is generally pretty flexible as I’m only working part time right now, so always feel free to inquire as to what works best for you and your pet!

Because of our cat Milo, I unfortunately can’t accommodate other pets staying at our home (he’s very nervous around new people and animals), but I’m always happy to travel to yours! Regardless, I always try to collect all the details on your pet’s personality, likes & dislikes, your routine, their unique needs, and stick to that as close as possible!

Before sitting, I like to know your pet’s tendencies, personality, and energy level. Do they prefer running around or would they rather walk? Do they like to be pet? If so, are there any areas they prefer not to be pet? Do they interact well with people and/or other animals? Are they shy, anxious, etc.? Do loud noises bother them? Basically, I want to make sure your pet can have the best experience possible and nothing catches me off guard. I am open to dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and personalities!
A typical day
Living in the PNW, I’ve always taken every chance I can to get outdoors and there’s no hiking partner better than a pup! If your dog is a runner, I am too! If your dog likes to play fetch, I always keep several frisbees in my car. I am an overall athletic guy who is more than willing to run around and play with your dog. That said, if you’re pet is more of a homebody, I’m always happy to meet them on their level too. If there is anything specific your dog enjoys doing, I am always willing to give it a shot! As for cats, a typical day with our cat Milo involves 2-3 play sessions (morning, evening, and lunch, when able), plus a training sesh before dinner. The litter box gets emptied out multiple times a day and we use food puzzles to engage his brain for dinner. And while Milo is a big fan of hide and seek, wand toys, and snuggling, I understand every cat is unique and what one cat enjoys the other may not - even within the same household! Ergo, I’m more than happy to cater to your cats personal needs!

Hello! Whether your dog or cat loves walks or wand toys, exploring the great outdoors or exploring the depths of the couch, I'm your go-to guy! Personally, my partner and I have owned a Belgian Malinois (Kia) and a domestic shorthair cat (Milo). While living with them, my family owned a golden retriever (Toby), a German shepherd (Haven), and two cats (Midnight & Moxie). Through working and volunteering at animal sanctuaries around the country and pet-sitting, I have personally cared for a multitude of dogs, such as Saint Bernards, pitbulls, bulldogs, dachshunds, mixed breeds, and more! Outside of dogs and cats, I also have experience working with parrots, turtles, snakes, fish, and all sorts of wild critters. When I’m not working, I love to play D&D and get outdoors. Bryce was absolutely amazing! He took great care of our dog and home while we were out of town for a week. Bryce was very diligent to make sure that our dog followed his regular routine like walks, feeding schedule, etc. My partner and I greatly appreciate the respect he had for our home and the love he showed our dog.
