Highlights
Pet care experience
Efficient and attention to detail
I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. Helped raise several litters of kittens. Also have cared for parakeets, freshwater fish, a hamster, and a hermit crab that someone abandoned at our vacation rental 6 years ago. I’ve also cared for rats and mice in a laboratory setting. My educational background is engineering & EMT service, but I left to become a full-time (human) caregiver in my mid twenties and never really went back to a “regular” engineering job. Pretty much every job I do, I end up going back into caregiving-type jobs because that’s where my heart is. I’d be happy to apply my skills towards caring for your pet, as I take care of my family members.

Brooks Z has watched our cats a couple times now. She is conscientious and gives us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend.

Great communication, very sweet, my cat loved her

Wonderful!! Brooks went above and beyond for Tsuki and took great care of her. Would recommend her highly!

Brooks was great to work with. She went beyond a few times when our cats missed the litter box and she cleaned it up. We will rebook with her again in the future the next time we need someone to drop in for our cats.

Brooks took such great care of our kitties. The detailed notes and pictures with each visit made us feel very comfortable and less guilty about being away. The cats were happy to see us return but very calm and relaxed. Highly recommend Brooks and will use her services again.

Calendar and availability
Schedule
I currently run several mail order businesses and care for my elderly father and my school-age daughter. So I have a very flexible schedule. Typically I take my daughter to school in the mornings and then am available after that.
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
I prefer to attend to your pet in your home because we have 2 cats in ours, and one cat is high-anxiety. I like to be given, and to follow, specific instructions. My training as an engineer, makes me appreciate detailed instructions, and my EMT-Basic training contributes towards my being medically observant, and willing to learn any medically complex care that you feel comfortable having me handle.
