I’m currently a post-graduate student preparing for medical school here in a year so I have a lot of time for longer term pups. I’m preparing for work part-time as well in the fall but I have a very open and flexible schedule.

I have helped dog sit for years now and of course I’ve taken care of my own dogs since they were just babies. Unfortunately, I’m unable, for the most part, to have animals stay at my house however, I’m open if necessary. I walk and feed my own dogs daily and they take a lot of space so I want them to feel comfortable in their own environment.

A typical day
I love being able to connect with the dogs and engage them in activities for mental and physical health. I have toys, kongs, a pool, slow feeders, dog parks, land, and more! I love doing enrichment activities I’ve learned through my service, walks, dog parks, etc.

Pet care experience
I have three dogs, two wonderful twin golden retrievers that are 5 years old. They are my whole world and so are my sister and brother’s dogs/cats! My sister has been doing rover in KC for over 7 years so it’s been a great way to experience rover and the necessities for all kinds of pets. Additionally, I’ve been a volunteer at Unchained Melodies puppy nursery and KC Pet Project for the last few years <3

Brooklyn came right in and took charge, and Tufa took to her very quickly. She didn't get a ton of acclimation time or instruction due to short notice for care, and my crazy busy day. I was impressed with how at ease she was with the situation and that made it so much easier for me. Brooklyn definitely cares about providing top notch care for your pets, I highly recommend her and hope to have her care for Tufa again.
I have 2 labs - one is a puppy and 2 cats and I absolutely trust brooklyn to take care of them. I am one of the highest rated rover sitters in the Kansas City area and I was so pleased with how well brooklyn communicated, took care of and loved on my animals that I asked her to help me with my pet sitting business when she comes back from college. She has had amazing patience with my puppy as well.
Dear whomever it may concern, I absolutely recommend Brooklyn Richie for this job. I have known Brooklyn for a little over a year. She has 3 dogs at home. She cares for them greatly. She also is a dog aunt and spends lots of time with her. I have witnessed Brooklyn taking great care of all her animals and she enjoys spending time with them and caring for them. She dog sat for me multiple times. I had absolutely no complaints. She took great care of my baby and I will use her time and time again. She accompanies her family who walks dogs frequently.
