Pet care experience

family dog boarding house

I have experience with all kinds of dogs from volunteering with rescues, and have the time and patience for not only puppies but for dogs needing special care as well. It is already a part of our family routine so it’s very easy to include extra friends. Each morning we wake up, feed and water our animals, and since I’m a stay at home mom, we spend lots of time playing outside (when it’s not too hot out). I have one acre fenced off, and no dogs, so your pup will have lots of room to explore safely and at their own pace. We are more than happy to keep dogs on any schedules, we do have a crate here if it’s needed but Pups must get along/not mind cats or at least not want to kill them. please bring food and water dishes.

Brooklyn had great communication and set pictures throughout my pup's stay.

We recently left our dog, Boba, with Brooklyn for two weeks. While Boba returned home safely and the sitter was friendly during drop-off, there were several concerns that would make us hesitant to book again. First, the listing contained multiple inconsistencies. It stated there were no dogs in the home, yet there was a dog present when we arrived. The listing also referenced both one acre and two acres of fenced property, but the property did not appear to match those descriptions. We were also never shown the backyard or other areas where the dogs would be spending time, which left us with unanswered questions about the environment. Communication throughout the stay was minimal. During a two-week booking, we rarely received proactive updates and typically had to reach out ourselves to check on Boba. When updates were provided, they were brief and included very few photos. One update was particularly concerning. We were informed that Boba appeared to be going into heat, despite having completed a heat cycle only about a month earlier. It was later determined that another dog’s gums were bleeding after eating a chicken bone. The confusion surrounding the situation raised concerns about supervision and awareness of what was happening among the dogs in the home. Finally, our scheduled pickup time had been agreed upon well in advance, but we later learned the sitter would be leaving for work before that time. This was not communicated proactively and only came up after we reached out regarding pickup logistics. Overall, there were enough inconsistencies and communication issues that we never felt fully confident about how Boba was doing during her stay. While we appreciate that she returned home safely, the experience did not meet our expectations based on the listing and initial booking arrangements.

Very good communication it was out first time leaving my dog and we felt really safe leaving her with Brooklyn. She has a very big yard that my dog enjoyed running around.
