I (Brooke) work from home F/T, so my schedule is quite flexible. Apart from the services I provide on Rover (walks & drop ins) I’ll be able to be at home with your fur babies majority of the time. James also works from home F/T! We both take weekends off which is nice as me and James are both very adventurous people and would rather spend our time outside, even in the winter, we like to explore. Rest assured, your pets will get tons of exercise in our care! With us having our own dog, often James will stay home with her and I will be the one to arrive for all overnight bookings as it’s easier for us to split up for everyone’s sake of care. :)

We always like to offer a meet and greet before beginning a booking with our new clients. This allows us to not only meet you, and your fur babies, but it also gives us the opportunity to see your house and how you like to have things kept in your space. Some people have a fully fenced backyard with security, whereas others have no yard and live on a busy street. No matter the case, we like to get a lay of the land so we can know whether or not dogs must be walked to go potty or if they can be let outside under our supervision. If our clients allow us to take their dog to the dog park, then we will ask before the booking which dog park(s), how the dogs recall is, and if off leash is ok. When going on walks we always keep the dogs leashed, unless in the fenced backyard at which point they will be under our supervision 100% of the time. We are extra cautious of coming and going through the front door with both dogs and cats. When coming inside with bags or items, usually I, or we, will enter empty handed first to ensure the pet is away from the door. And when exiting we always exit with our backs to the door, eyes on the pet at all times. We learned this trick from a trainer and in several years of being on Rover have never had an escapee!

I would like to know whether or not he/she has any allergies? Where they are up to date on shots? If not, this needs to be addressed prior to the sit as we will not be able to take the dog(s) to areas where other dogs may roam. If they get along with other dogs/cats? I would like to know if you follow a feeding schedule. For puppies/new to the family dogs, please advise if there’s any sleep arrangements/schedules in place. Some families have more strict rules about their pets being on furniture and we would also prefer to know in advance. Does your pet have any separation anxiety? Any habits such as: chewing on things other than toys? Is your pet a Houdini? (Do they try to escape often?)

We really enjoy stimulating dogs minds, keeping them active not just physically, but mentally as well, is so important to us. Daily walks, more intense exercise for dogs who need it, socialization (when required), toy play at home/in the yard, snuggles (endless), and of coarse some food and/or treat play such as: hide & seek with treats!

PSA for SUMMERTIME!!! - For all my clients booking WALKS this summer, please note that the time you book may not be able to be accommodated. 30+ degree heat is NO JOKE. Heat exhaustion, hot pavement, etc can be life threatening for your fur babies. - If you’re in need of a walk midday, and the weather is piping hot, consider a drop in visit instead. Your pup can be let outside in a grassy yard, have time to play, and drink water, all the good stuff! - For overnight stays, note that I will be using my discretion to decide when the dogs will get walked. But they will always get some form of exercise, even if it’s indoor playtime! :) **BEFORE YOU REQUEST A BOOKING** If you could please provide us with the following: 1. The community/town in which you reside? We are currently only taking bookings within a certain radius. 2. Does your pet(s) have any type of separation anxiety? 3. Have you read through (fully) our “about us” section, as well as our “schedule” section? :) Hello! We are Brooke & James, I (Brooke) am 30 years old and my fiance, James, is 35. We have extensive experience in dog sitting. We understand that for pet owners, they are not just pets, but your fur babies as well and that's how they will always be treated by us. Currently we are not offering pet boarding services due to us having a dog of our own. However, we are happy to offer our services in your home where your pets can stay comfortable. We love to snuggle with pets, so where they sleep is not a big deal. We don't mind if they sleep in the bed with us, the couch in the living room, or if the parents prefer, they can be in their own beds. James and I are very active and adventurous individuals. We enjoy exploring the nearby parks and outdoor recreation facilities. We are always looking to seek out local areas that are pet friendly, we love getting to explore with our clients. We both love dogs and have had several pets throughout our lives.

Brooke was so flexible with her scheduling and went above and beyond to keep the house tidy and the pets were very well-looked after!
Brooke is a fantastic pet sitter! She provided frequent photo updates and detailed descriptions of how our pets were doing throughout her stay. Brooke took great care in keeping our house tidy. She also took our dog, Arthur for several walks a day and played with him in the yard. Both of our pets (dog and cat) had a wonderful time with Brooke.
Brooke was absolutely incredible while staying at our home and caring for our German Shepherd, Maia. From the moment we left, her communication was top-notch—she sent detailed updates, photos, and thoughtful write-ups that gave us total peace of mind the entire time. It was so clear Maia was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Brooke didn’t just meet expectations—she went far beyond them. She treated our home with so much respect, even washing all the bedding, doing the dishes, and leaving everything spotless. We came back to a house that looked like no one had even been there. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after and takes real pride in what she does. We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to have Brooke back again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and truly exceptional. Brooke was incredible. She took excellent care of my dog and was on time each visit. Brooke took several photos and allowed Shelby to run off leash. I will be booking again with Brooke!
