It’s currently the summer so I have a lot of time to spend with animals throughout the day. My masters program is mainly online so I should never be gone for more than 3 hours.

Depending on any service, I usually read the owners notes to care for the pet during the time asked to do so. I’ve previously used Wag and when I complete the services, I communicate a lot with the pet parents throughout the time, letting them know what I’ve done, etc.

Any health conditions, or behavioral issues would all be things I would like to know prior taking in pets, just so that I could prepare accordingly.

There is a dog park in my apartment complex that I would take them too, followed by lots of walks. I would also play with the dogs if they have toys. On July 23rd I will be moving into a house with a fenced in backyard

Hi my name is Brooke, I graduated from UVA this year, studying business in the McIntire school of commerce and will be going for an additional year to get my masters, and I love animals. I have a lot of experience with being a caregiver for pets. My uncle previously was a breeder and he would have my sister and I take care of the puppies during his work days. I also have experience with caring for others pets and have completed many services through Wag and Rover.

Brooke L. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.
Brooke was amazing as always. She is great at communicating, sends us lots of pictures throughout the day, and our girls love her!
The overall experience with Brooke was fair. She updated me with photos, answered texts etc. Where my negative review comes in is on pickup day. Upon booking we are able to reserve time slots. I reserved 12-2pm on Monday May 4. I booked with Brooke at least 12 days before I actually dropped off my dog on the morning of May 2, . Brooke is/was a student. There was no discussion of my 12-2 pick up time being an issue at all, until the day of pickup. I was in route to get my dog at 12 when Brooke said I couldn’t get her due to an exam. She said come at 1. Never mentioning that she needed to go back to school again and take another exam. Then requesting that I be there by 1:30. I had already gone out of route because my 12 PM pick up time was inconvenient for her. My point of leaving this review is that with all of the time leading up to my pick up, Brooke knew when her exams were and her exam times and she should have communicated with me so that I could have worked with her to move things around. This has left a sour taste in my mouth and will not use her again. A little communication goes a long way. Ultimately this left my dog being left on her deck, yes behind a secured gate, but nonetheless my dog was left unattended on the property until I was able to get to her.
Brooke L. was a really great option for us while passing through Charlottesville with our dog. She was excellent with all communications, sent pictures and videos, and was attentive to all details. Our dog Cash enjoyed his stay and her place was ideal, with a 2 acre fenced yard where he could play! We are grateful to have found such a perfect place.
