Dog ❤️ home, large fenced in yard!

Pet care experience

Dogs have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with big dogs, but I currently have a 10 lb Maltese. Before having kids 7 yrs ago, I volunteered for several years at a local animal rescue. I’ve fostered everything from puppies to feral dogs. I’ve always been an animal lover and understand how difficult it is to leave your pet with a stranger. Boarding kennels are pretty expensive, and then your dogs are crated (sometimes separately, even if related) 90% of the day and it’s so much scarier for your pet. One of my reasons for joining Rover is because I no longer have time to volunteer at the rescue and I miss it. Second, I know how difficult it is to find care for your pets when you have to be away. We have a great home, are responsible, caring people and would take great care of your babies and treat them like our own. What to expect: - Flexible drop off and pick up times - Updates and pictures throughout the stay so you can stay in touch and have peace of mind - A large, fenced in yard with 8000+ sq ft to run - 3500 sq ft indoors to play - Walks (weather contingent) and/or daily playtime - Free run of the house - Frequent potty breaks as we work from home - Tons of cuddles and attention - Worry-free time away bc your pup is in good hands - Just bring your pup, food, food bowl, treats, blanket, meds and anything that would make them feel more at home! We’re homebodies (even pre-Covid) and both of us work from home, so odds are, we'll be hanging out with your pup more often than not. At night, our Maltese sleeps in bed with us and your pup could sleep wherever they're comfortable. Our yard is fenced in so your pup can run free in the yard. One of our dogs was a “runner” so a fence and closed doors is a must at this house. We also had a “garbage picker” so our garbage can is built-in; no one’s getting into anything they shouldn’t! We don’t have limits on furniture or beds so they can hang out wherever they want. We're up around 7am for potty and then last potty is between 10-11pm. My home vs a Boarding Kennel - A standard stay at a local boarding facility costs $45-$65/night with only 3 potty breaks per day. Your dog's entire stay is inside of a 4'x5' kennel. A five minute walk outside costs $8 and a "play session" is another $8 per session. -At our house, your dog will be lounging wherever they want...on a couch, in a bed, in one of our many dog beds, with endless play time indoors and outdoors. -Your dog will get to sleep with us in bed, or have a couch to themselves in our bedroom, or else we'll set up a kennel if they prefer having a den. -We're home the vast majority of the day so your pup will always be cuddling up with a person, getting pet, instead of sitting alone in a crate. -Pictures and updates! I will send you multiple updates/day so you can see how your pup is doing. -Special treatment. I will carry your dog up and down steps if needed. I will hand-feed your pup if they're nervous. I will hold them during thunderstorms if they're anxious. -A large, fenced-in yard with so many places to sniff, explore and pee! Trees with squirrels, the occasional bunny...there's so much excitement here! -Lots of windows and places to relax while looking outside for the neighborhood watch type of pup. -We love dogs and care for your pet as if they were our own and wouldn't have it any other way. Things we need to take care of your baby...dogs that don’t mind other dogs or kids. My kids are young and know how to approach dogs, but if your dog just doesn’t like kids or other animals, we’re not a good match. We don't take in more than 5 additional dogs at a time and if ever anyone doesn't mesh well with each other, we have plenty of space and gates to keep everyone safe and happy. Finally, everyone must be up to date on shots. Please keep your dog and my dog safe, happy and healthy!

We've used Brooke and Jerry for doggy daycare and boarding. They always take such great care of our dog. Our pup gets so excited every time we take him back. Their entire family treats our dog like one of their own. Would HIGHLY recommend!
