I run a non-profit that allows me to work from home with a very flexible schedule. Whether or not I’m caring for pets, I spend a few hours each day outdoors - walking, hiking, and staying active. The rest of the time, I’m happily working from my laptop at home. Having an animal around significantly just makes the day brighter.

I’m based locally in Malibu and have a car, so I can easily come to your home where your pet feels most comfortable. I treat every home with the utmost respect and care; I believe that’s just basic decency. You can trust that I’ll leave your space better than how I found it. Having been a pet owner myself, I completely understand how important it is for animals to stay in an environment they already know and love. Safety always comes first, I don’t take risks with anyone else’s beloved pet, ever.

A typical day
Everything depends on the individual dog - their energy levels, needs, and age. I think one of the most important things is ensuring they’re properly stimulated in every way, whether through exercise, sniffing, exploring new environments, or engaging in enrichment games and activities at home. I’m all about providing that variety of stimulation tailored to each dog’s unique needs. And if a dog is older and simply needs consistency, comfort, and calm, it’s just as important to recognize that and provide exactly what they need.

I know how much love and trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s hands, and I don’t take that lightly. There's no animal, no matter its quirks or temperament, that could make this feel like work. Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. What started with family pets grew into a passion for fostering and rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list - especially the ones who were most overlooked or misunderstood. I’ve learned how to meet each dog where they are, earning their trust and helping them feel safe.

Brooke was absolutely wonderful with my two elderly and sometimes challenging rescue dogs. She cared for them lovingly for over eight years, right up until they passed last year. During that time, Brooke handled everything from administering medication and managing seizures to providing them with endless affection and patience. Whenever we went away, Brooke would house- and dog-sit for us, and I always had complete peace of mind knowing our dogs were in the most caring and capable hands. She treated them as if they were her own, and they adored her in return. I couldn’t recommend Brooke more highly—she’s reliable, compassionate, and truly exceptional with animals.
Brooks is truly exceptional! She is one of 3 people on this planet I would ever fully trust with my dog. From the moment she meets him, it is clear that she genuinely loves animals and treats them as if they were her own. My dog requires a huge amount of exercise, and Brooks has gone above and beyond on countless occasions, even getting up at 6am in the middle of winter just to make sure he was walked. She does all of this without being asked and with a level of care and dedication that is genuinely rare. Brooks is also an outstanding house guest. She is thoughtful, responsible, and attentive, always leaving everything in perfect order. Beyond that, she brings warmth, positivity, and energy wherever she goes. She’s so reliable and trustworthy that I even flew her out to the UK from California because she is truly the only person I would ever leave my dog with. She is kind, compassionate, full of heart, and completely devoted to the animals in her care. I wish she lived closer because I would have her helping with my dog all the time. Brooks is not just a pet sitter or dog walker, she is a genuine gem of human and an absolute joy to work with. Any pup lucky enough to have her in their life, even just for a short time, is incredibly fortunate.
