Currently I’m not working, because I just got back from living in Miami. I also have Lyme disease and have needed some extra time for healing and recovery but being able to walk and spend time with animals has been very helpful for my healing.

Safety, trust & environment

I love spending time with animals in their own space because it helps them with the anxiety of their parents being gone. I am very respectful in homes and usually bring my own food and try to leave the house as clean or cleaner than I found it before parents get home. I also don’t mind doggies in my space either but I live in an apartment so boarding multiple dogs can be difficult but doable. We also have great walking trails behind my apartment that’s great for getting out the doggy energy! I have a service dog here, a 6 pound yorkie, that gets a long with every dog and person he meets.

Information Brooke H. would like to know about your pet

I have my own special needs animal so I understand the fear of leaving your SNA with other people. The most important thing is to have patience’s and pay close attention to them. Whether it’s old age, missing eye sight or hearing, administering medications, a puppy or whatever else I will be sure to accommodate! Please leave thorough instructions.

A typical day

Keeping your pups on schedule is very important so eating and potty breaks will always be on time. I love to go on walks and taking a doggy makes it so much better. If you have a backyard or a park nearby I love to throw the ball with them and playing with cat toys if you have a cat. Either way dog or cat expect them to get lots of love!

Pet care experience

Hi! My name is Brooke! I’m a 33y/o Texas girlie living in the heart of Boerne! I believe that every dog is different, so the kind of attention, discipline and love should look a little different for each dog (pet) as well. I grew up with animals & love all different breads of dogs & cats. I’ve been blessed to have had Yorkies, labs, a poodle, a golden retriever, a pug and maltipoos (or multi-somethings, as my vet would say🤣). I’ve also had multiple cats. Currently, I am a mama to my US Service Dog, James Dean, an 12y/o yorkie. When he was 2 he was attacked by an owl and lost his eyes. Ever since he and I have been creating new ways to help him get around and adapt while giving him the best quality of life. In addition to the years of retraining, I also participated in 50 hours of his service dog training. The accident, tho heartbreaking, gave me a greater understanding & love for our fur babies. It’s taught me that most importantly patience is key when dealing with animals! I hope that I’ll get the opportunity to spend some time with your dog(s.) I look forward to hearing from you!!😁🦮🐾 🐕‍🦺🦴🐶 Before using Rover I had used other pet caregiver apps for 2 years but once getting back to Texas I decided to try Rover and it’s been such a great experience! I have been building my reviews and credentials the last year on here as well as through friends and other apps. Please look to reviews and ratings to see what others think of working with me😊

Brooke is amazing. She took care of our house and two dogs and one cat for a week and kept us informed and updated throughout. Brooke sent daily pictures or videos to ensure us all was well with her charges. We are quite pleased with Rover and especially with Brooke. We will use Brooke again and highly recommend her for taking care of both your home and, especially, your pets. Two thumbs up for Brooke!
