Pet care experience

🎓 Dog Trainer, 🦮Walker, 🏡 Sitter

**I have pet care insurance** I am a certified dog trainer and bring a wealth of knowledge to every visit whether I am doing dog walks, drop in visits, overnight pet sitting or training (see my trainer profile). I am passionate about animals and will take the absolute best care of your pets! I grew up in a house with many beloved pets including dogs, cats, fish and hamsters. My second home while growing up was a stable with 40 horses that I helped with in every capacity including caring for them while owners were on a vacation, training, and giving lessons. They also had dogs, goats, cats and mini donkeys ;) My sweet childhood dog would be patiently waiting at the gate for me to return each day from the horse barn! One of the first things my husband and I wanted to do as a couple was get a dog. Our apartment only allowed fostering but we ended up adopting our first foster dog and immediately rented a home with a large backyard for our new 120lb dog! We have had three amazing dogs over the years, and so I have experience with all ages. We currently have a goofy 1 yr old lab that we fell in love with from the Longmont humane society. From college and on, I have helped friends and neighbors with check-ins and pet sitting. For over a year I have enjoyed professionally pet sitting and dog walking and will take the utmost care of your pet and respect your house and property. I love sending photos and updates since I know I would want that as a pet parent. I know some dogs love to snuggle and others need their space- I can provide whichever they prefer. It’s hard to find someone to trust with your pets and home but you can count on me as your safe and extremely responsible pet sitter!

Brooke did a fantastic job with our dogs! She was very communicative even prior to her stay, ensuring that she understood our dogs’ needs and preferences which put our minds at ease. During her stay, she continued to communicate on how our dogs were doing, sending photos and sharing any details we might like to be aware of while she stayed at our house. We hope to use Brooke again soon - our dogs really enjoyed the time with her!

I wholeheartedly recommend Brooke as pet caregiver. I was impressed by Brooke's attentiveness and compassion. Brooke went above and beyond to meet her dog’s specific needs, ensuring they were comfortable and well cared for. She is a great communicator and her genuine love for animals is evident, and I would trust her with any pet!

I've known Brooke for many years and she has always shown herself to be a very responsible caregiver for the pets in her life. The best thing I can say is that she has raised 3 dogs --1 a rescue, 2 from puppies--in a very loving and responsible manner and she will do the same for your pets!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

*Housesitting* I stay overnight and then leave for part of the day. On weekdays I typically exercise the pup(s) I’m watching, feed them breakfast and give snuggles. Then I leave for an hour or two in the late morning. I would be back if a dog needs lunch, etc. Then I usually am gone 3-4 hours in the afternoon. I won’t be gone longer than 5hrs max at one time. If you need something different or 24/7 care is required, we can discuss if I can accommodate a different schedule and perhaps a different rate. At this time I typically don’t take house sitting jobs over 5 days, but I might be able to if it is very close to me. *Walks* I love getting your pup out for you! It's so important! If you book for 60 minutes, the walk time is about 30mins, then we can stroll, play games, have snuggles etc. I love this option and so do the dogs! We can customize this as well! Some pups just want a 30 min sniff/stroll! *Drop ins* Good for Potty break/ meal times. Can be great for a senior dog or one you would rather not have walked. I love giving snuggles and attention and or playing games for enrichment.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

For House sitting, I would love to watch your pet in your home, where your pet is in their most comfortable environment. I can also get mail, collect packages, take out trash, etc. I promise I will do all I can to keep your pet and house safe. I have been a homeowner for 19 years and know everything I would want checked if I was gone. You will return to a house just as clean as you left it, if not cleaner! ** For my safety, I will need to be informed of all cameras (indoors and out) before the stay or the job will be immediately terminated with no refund.

Pets

A typical day

House sitting- If your dog enjoys exercise, I will do that in the morning to start the day off right for them. We can do a short/ medium walk or play in the backyard. Then I will try to follow their typical schedule as closely as I can so they feel comforted with their normal routine. If they love cuddles and treats - I will be happy to do that as well!

Please make sure your pet’s profiles are completely filled out and you have at least one photo of each pet. This is incredibly helpful! Please let me know if your pet(s) have any special needs or preferences. The more I can know, the better I can care for them! How much exercise are used to and what they love to do? How long can they go without a potty break when I am away? I do need to know if there are behavior issues to make sure I am the right fit. ***At this point I do not walk dogs that pull hard on the leash. Also aggressive dogs are not the right fit for me right now. I will want to have a 30 min (free) meet and greet before booking any service to ensure we are all on the same page as far as expectations and we are both safe and comfortable before I care for your pet. Thank you!
