Hello Neighbors! My name is Brooke Cleary, and I’m a recent UCSB graduate with a B.S. in Zoology. Over the past year, I worked at UCSB’s Animal Resource Center, where I cared for campus animals, maintained their well-being, and assisted our campus veterinarian. Before that, I interned at the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network, helping rehabilitate injured wildlife. Outside of work, I’ve had years of hands-on animal care experience through fostering. I’m currently fostering five kittens, and in the past, I’ve welcomed and cared for numerous kittens, pot-bellied pigs, dogs, and even lambs. When it comes to dogs, I have a special soft spot. My family currently has three of our own, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all breeds and sizes. I’m also experienced in administering medication and following specific diet regimens to ensure every pet’s needs are met. My passion for animal care started early through Tassajara Valley 4-H, where I was actively involved in dairy goat, rabbit, and poultry projects, proudly showing my animals at the Alameda County Fair each summer.
