Animal-loving dog-mom
I've been training my own 6-month-old rescue puppy for the past few months using positive reinforcement. It's incredible to see how fast he learns and how quickly our bond is developing! In addition to looking after my own puppy, I've babysat many friends' dogs over the years--including high-energy golden retrievers, intelligent malinois, and an adorable toy poodle. I also rode and owned horses for 10 years, which helped me develop a calm, nurturing, and steady hand.

Schedule
I work from home, so am typically able to keep dogs company throughout the day. I take my own dog out for a hour-long walk in the morning, then for a few bathroom breaks throughout the day. Time allowing, we'll do a play session at lunch and/or another shorter walk after work. I would of course be willing to adapt to your dog's needs!

I provide daily walks, regular bathroom breaks, engaged play, and predictable meals/training as needed. I'm very patient, affectionate, and calm, and good at reading the energy/needs of different pets.
Pets
A typical day
I live directly outside a park, which means there will be plenty for your dog to explore. This park includes a dog park, which I'd be happy to take your dog to, if that's something you're comfortable with. I regularly play search games and fetch with my own dog. At my home, I have plenty of toys for fetch, tug, and general chewing, as well as lick mats and other DIY enrichment games.
