Sophia's Doggy Daycare

Pet care experience

Hello Everyone, I have been caring for animals my entire life and have a sincere passion for their well-being. I live on several acres, minutes north of Asheville in Weaverville, North Carolina. Over the past several months of boarding animals I have upgraded many features of my home and property in order to make your dogs stay as comfortable as possible. I have fenced in large areas of the front and back yard with plenty of room to safely play and explore. I have plenty of space to comfortably care for 3 dogs per day. What to expect I will always promptly meet you outside when you arrive. If you are here for a meet and greet or drop off, feel free to let your dog loose in the front yard. You may hear barking coming from dogs currently being boarded. They are sending greetings the only way they know how. I try to stick as closely to their normal schedule as possible. I wake up early from 6 AM – 8 AM to let them out, followed by breakfast and another potty break. Treats a couple times a day if that's part their routine and then dinner around 5 PM - 6 PM. Expect to be updated about your pet each morning and evening with pictures, videos, or short descriptions. You do not have to feel obligated to respond each time, it is only to let you know your dog is safe and enjoying themselves. Concerns I completely understand some may feel anxiety when leaving a part of your family somewhere new. I do not take this responsibility lightly. Your pet’s safety and well-being are my number one priority while they are in my care. More than that, this is a place where your pet will enjoy coming, being cared for and playing with other pups. I am here full time in order to closely watch over dogs. I have plenty of space and rooms separated by an indoor wall and a permanent gate if your animal prefers to be alone for a spell. It helps to know Feel free to tell me all about your dog and all their quirks. What is their energy level, level of socialization, schedule and routine.? The most important thing is aggression. Please give me an honest evaluation of your pets behavior ahead of time so that I can better care for them during their stay, as well as making sure they are treated for fleas and ticks prior to their visit. You are always welcome to visit the property ahead of time so your pet can familiarize themselves with this space. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. I look forward to rebooking all previous dogs and am always open to new ones. I am home full time to always keep a close eye on your dog while they are visiting for the day or being boarded while you are away. My daily routine is centered around caring for your animal. Early wake up for potty breaks followed by breakfast. Dog's enjoy running around two large fenced in areas or going for walks around the property. I document you dogs visits with pictures and videos. In our down time they enjoy relaxing inside and getting extra attention and love.
