Safety, trust & environment

Meet and greets are required for all services (for local clients) to ensure owner(s), sitter, and animals feel comfortable with one another. Dog Boarding/Day Care: I have a large fenced yard and three high energy pups that would enjoy having new friends to play with. I have lots of toys from stuffed to plastic to rope toys to keep them entertained. Dogs should be crate trained in case I need to leave for an errand (exceptions are considered. Please reach out for more details). Dogs must be okay around cats as they may interact with them when they are in the house. Dogs MUST be okay around children as I have a toddler (the child will never be alone with the dog). Dog Walking: We can walk around the neighborhood or go to a park. I will NEVER go to a dog park. I will only bring my dogs along for a walk if approved by the owner. Vaccines: All animals that enter my home must be up-to-date on vaccines. Dogs MUST have rabies and bordetella (kennel cough) vaccines. Owners must provide vaccination records for confirmation. All animals must be treated for fleas and ticks (as a precaution). This is a year-round requirement. I highly recommend Elanco K9 Advantix II for dogs. If needed, I can provide the medicine and apply to the pet for an additional cost (please reach out for more details). Drop Ins: I'm happy to stay for as short or long as needed to take care of the pet (feed, water, potty break, scoop litter box, administer medicine, etc.) and give them attention.

Information Brittni P. would like to know about your pet

All Animals: I need to know if pets are vaccinated and what flea/tick meds they have (for preventative purposes. Flea/tick meds are required year-round and usually come in monthly treats or applications). If you have questions about this part please reach out. I also need to know of any food allergies. Dogs: I need to know of any behavioral issues, especially since we may go on walks at a park. For instance, does the dog react to seeing a small dog? I have breed experience with Labs, GSDs, Huskies, Pitbulls, Shelties, Munchkins, Rottweilers, and of course mixed breeds. I understand their temperaments, but if your dog has behaviors outside the standard please let me know. I'm also comfortable working with senior dogs and ones that need medicine (except injections).

A typical day

Dog Boarding/Day Care: Dogs will have access to a large yard to play in that includes various toys. They will have all the playtime they want with my energetic pups. Inside will be used for snack/treat/food time, some toy chewing, and naps. We will go on walks around the neighborhood or to the local park. I will use the techniques I've learned from my dogs' training to help pups that stay with us. This will include basic commands like sit, stay, place and during walks how to stay near the group and not react to other dogs/distractions. Dog Walking: I love to go to parks so if approved by the owner, I would take the dog to the nearest park for a long walk (will adjust length based on energy level, age, and owner/animal preference). I will NEVER go to a dog park. I may have a stroller or my dogs along for the walk if approved by the owner. Drop Ins: Besides potty breaks for dogs and checking on food/water levels, I like to give pets or snuggles to the animals. I will also spend plenty of time playing with them. If animals prefer not to be bothered, I will leave them be.

Pet care experience

I have had animals my whole life, particularly cats and dogs. I am comfortable working with medium and large breed dogs, high energy pets, senior animals, or pets with medical needs. I have helped family and neighbors care for their fur babies and would love the opportunity to help others! I specialize in caring for senior/special needs pets. I had two cats with varying degrees of kidney disease which required special diets and constant monitoring. They made frequent messes so I'm not afraid to clean up pet accidents. I'm happy to help any animals that need some extra care.

Huey felt right at home with Brittni and her family of dogs and house cats. Drop off was easy and organized for first time meeting. He was smiling all the way home, and been napping since. He had a great workout and a lot of fun. He still may get to have a cat as a friend someday!

Annie had a great time with Britnni and all her fur babies and kids! Such a welcoming environment and lovely yard. Annie loves to run and play so having other doggies for her to play with was great! She came home tired and ready for a nap😊
