I was introduced to dogs during my early childhood; I would always have at least 3 of them at a time. While I do not yet have a dog of my own, I’ve spent countless hours volunteering at animal shelters bathing dogs/puppies, cleaning up their environment, feeding and playing with them, walking them, and just keeping them company! Every pet is different. Some are shy and timid, some are playful and excitable, some require loads of attention, and some might even snatch your food off of your plate right before your eyes (yikes!), but one thing that will always remain the same across the board is that genuine compassion and care goes a long way in building trust and friendship with your furry friends.
