Pet care experience

Your fur babies are important.

I have had dogs and cats around me since I was born but that wasn't enough. I now work at animal clinics as an educator and work with animals of all kinds. During the day I am at the clinic and at night I am home with 2 cats and 1 dog. I am an avid animal lover and seek to ensure they don't just live, but thrive. While in Alaska as an environmental educator I volunteered to walk Matrix (the black and white dog in my photos). She is a working sled dog in Denali National Park and full of energy. We would walk around 2 miles a day on average, with the furthest at 7 miles in a day. I've helped take care of neighbors' and friends' pets since I was 10 and could reliably ride my bike, I would love to help take care of yours as well.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

With my cat, I keep her in the house and feed her at specific times during the day. She is a senior so I make sure she has access to everything she needs (bed, water, hiding spot, etc.). My roommate had 1 dog and 1 cat which I help to care for. The largest dog I have worked with was 90 pounds, so with larger dogs I trust in your disclosure as to their needs and temperament. For house sitting, I can easily adjust to the rhythm of your style after a walk through and explanation of care for each animal.

Brittnay took really good care of our old dog! Sent pictures and I felt comfortable Tyson was well taken care of. Will definitely recommend her.

Brittnay did so great with our kittens! It really gives you peace of mind when your pet is in good hands while you’re away. Thanks again!

I volunteered with Brittnay as a volunteer sled dog walker in Denali National Park. Brittnay loves and respects animals so deeply and she will take the very best care of your pets. She has amazingly diverse professional experience caring for animals, including as a Zoo and outdoor educator. She is knowledgable, responsible, playful, and careful. As a volunteer sled dog walker, she built connections with most of the 30 dogs in the Denali National Park kennel. She quickly understood each dog's unique personality and needs and the dogs were always so excited to see her!! She is also very responsive, diligent, and responsible. Your animals will love Brittnay and you will too!
