Brittany was overall polite but I would never recommend booking her. She did the bare minimum and ended up leaving my dog alone after she broke a nail off and anyone who has experience with dogs knows that means there was a lot of blood. I received a text saying my dog's nail started bleeding on a walk so she "cleaned it up and put a bandaid on it". I asked for more details and a picture but she had already left my dog alone so I had to have a friend go check on my dog who found her bleeding, shaking and crying all alone. I left Kwik Stop Powder and bandages in case of emergencies with the rest of my dog's supplies for Brittany but she must not have known what it was and didn't use it. This all happened only a few hours before Brittany was meant to leave and switch to a new sitter so I told her she didn't need to stay when she got back because I didn't even want her with my dog anymore. I got home a few days later and took my dog to the vet because the nail was completely broken off all the way back to a nub. When I initially asked Brittany if the nail was broken she said "I think it is broken" which it obviously was so she wasn't even being transparent about it. The vet said it definitely warranted a vet visit at the time of breaking it and that my dog should never have been left alone when it first broke and it is now infected so my dog is now on antibiotics. According to my cameras Brittany left my dog alone less than 20 minutes after getting home from the walk and didn't even message me until 20 minutes after she left so my dog ended up being alone for almost two hours bleeding out before my friend was able to get over there. In addition to the nail fiasco, when I first booked Brittany I let her know that I have cameras in the front and back of my house that record movement so to be courteous I let her know that she would be on camera because people like to know when they're being recorded. I was alerted of movement late that night and saw she had just left and looking at alerts for the day I realized that Brittany had only been going home every 4-5 hours to let Zoey out in the backyard for about 5 minutes before leaving again other than an initial visit in the morning for a quick walk. At that point I had left my dog over 12 hours prior so I messaged Brittany to let her know what I saw and that I was concerned for Zoey's wellbeing of being alone for that much time and wanted to confirm Brittany was going to stay the night since I had just seen her leave again late. She wrote back saying she had to work that day and her profile says she's available to check on the dog every 4 hours, which I do not see on her profile. Her profile says she has a "flexible schedule" and "adaptable work hours" so "pets get the attention they deserve" and my profile says my dog shouldn't be left alone for more than 4 hours. She eventually returned home an hour later for the night and then the nail chaos happened the next morning. Overall I think Brittany is a decent sitter for bare minimum feeding and letting dogs out because she was courteous and did send some pictures but I would never advise booking her if you want someone to stay with your pets for a decent amount of time or trust her with any type of emergency situation.

Brittany cared for my energetic, 2.5 year old Shiba inu in my home. She took great care of her and took her on fun adventures! She also took great care of my home. My dog is picky about her bedmates and by the end of Brittany’s stay, my Shiba was choosing to sleep with her. Will definitely request Brittany for future sits.
