I have just transitioned from primarily boarding in my home, to focusing on walks and drop-in care, as we downsized from a house to an apartment. I will be available for house-sitting in the summer when my children are gone but for now would love the opportunity to check in and entertain your pets while you are away! I can provide excellent references for clients I have been helping regularly for years now and who trust me coming and going from their homes frequently. I will treat your pets like my pets, which is to say, like my children! Please give as many extra details to make your pet comfortable, as possible. I’m familiar with weather anxiety, social anxiety, reactivity etc. I have administered oral medications and glucose for visitors in the past on a regular basis.

Now that I am no longer boarding, but am more centrally located on the South Hill, I am available with a very flexible schedule for all your in-home pet care needs! I usually do not need more than a days notice, as long as walk times are somewhat flexible!

I have been a pet owner and animal lover since I could walk, so when my children reached school age and I found myself with free time, and a need for a job that allowed the flexibility to still be available for them, walking dogs was an obvious choice! I have always been the type to cross the park to pet a friendly dog, and have now made a career out of giving regularly scheduled walks to dogs in my neighborhood whose owners cannot do so themselves due to age, disability, or busy schedules! One of our corgis was abused in the past, so she is scared of most people. We appreciate your patience with Sky and making sure she ate! Both dogs were happy and the backyard was well maintained poo-wise. Great communication and updates! Definitely recommend Brittany:)
