Pet care experience

Our dogs mean the universe to us!

I've spent nine years as a professional dog groomer, hands-on with dogs of every size, coat type, and temperament. That includes reactive dogs. I know how to read body language, recognize when a dog is escalating, and back off before things get to that point. If your dog is nervous, reactive, or just doesn't do well with strangers, I'm not going to be rattled by it — but I will want to hear about it upfront so we can plan the visits around what works for them. I've had dogs my whole life and currently have three of my own. My oldest is 8, so I'm well versed in senior care — joint stiffness, needing more potty breaks, the extra patience it takes. I also give her daily medication, so pills, liquids, and staying on schedule are routine for me. If your dog needs meds while you're gone, that's covered. I'll follow your routine as written, not my version of it. And I'll send photos and updates every visit so you know exactly how your dog is doing.

Brittany has always had a magical way with animals. She has cared for my pup for several months now and my sweet Chloe never wants to leave! Brittany sends me updates on how my fur baby is doing and it really makes my day! I would recommend Brittany to anyone who wants their pet to be treated with kindness and care.

Brittany has always been an animal lover since I have known her. She has a way with every kind of animal, as soon as a dog meets her they fall in love with her. She treats every dog like they are her own. She has taken care of many of my own dogs and they absolutely adore her and always jump for joy when she's around. She is the most kindest, gentle, loving person and I totally trust her with any of my fur babies! And I don't trust just anyone. Working around animals isn't work to her, it's definitely a hobby that she loves doing. So you would be very lucky to have someone like Brittany to be around your precious pets.

Schedule

My days are built around my animals. Three dogs and two cats keep me on a routine — morning potty break and feeding, meds for one of my dogs on schedule, walks, midday check-ins, litter box maintenance, and evening feeding and settling in. My schedule is wide open right now, which means I can build visits around what your pet actually needs instead of squeezing them into a narrow window.

Safety, trust & environment

In your home, I follow your routine exactly as you've written it — same feeding times, same portions, same walk route, same spots on the couch they're allowed on. Pets do better when nothing changes, so I'm not going to substitute my way of doing things. Every visit: fresh water, food per your instructions, potty break or full walk, litter boxes handled, meds on schedule, and a good look at how they're doing — appetite, energy, output, anything that seems off. I clean up any accidents and leave your home the way I found it. I'll text photos and a short update each time so you're not wondering. If something doesn't look right, you'll hear from me right away, not at the end of the day. I'll ask for your vet's info and an emergency contact before your first booking so I'm not scrambling if I need it.

Pets

A typical day

Depends entirely on the dog. Some want a real walk with time to sniff everything; some want a good game of fetch in the yard; some want to lie next to you and be left alone. I'll follow your dog's lead on what they actually enjoy. If they're food motivated, I'm happy to run through whatever tricks they know or work a puzzle feeder or lick mat. I'll bring toys if you want, or stick to their own — some dogs get weird about strange toys. For cats, wand toys are usually the way in, though plenty would rather just sit near you and judge. Whatever we do, I'll send photos.

Before your first booking, I'll want: Medical: any conditions, medications with doses and timing, allergies, and your vet's name and number. Also an emergency contact who can make decisions if I can't reach you. Behavior: bite history, reactivity to people, dogs, or other triggers, resource guarding, separation anxiety, escape artistry. I'd rather know upfront than find out — none of it disqualifies your pet, it just changes how I handle visits. Routine: feeding times and portions, potty schedule, walk route, crate or no crate, where they sleep, and anything they're not allowed to do or have. Logistics: where the food, leash, meds, and cleaning supplies live, how to work the litter box or door locks, and whether anyone else has access to the home. The little stuff: what scares them, what calms them, what they love. That's usually the difference between a pet tolerating me and actually being comfortable.
