Pet care experience

I notice the little things 🐾

Great dog care means noticing the little things: whether your dog ate normally, how they slept, what helps them feel safe, and what makes their tail wag. I know your dog is family, and I take the trust you place in me seriously. I’ve owned dogs my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages, energy levels, and personalities. I work outside the home part-time, but I plan each booking carefully around my schedule. I take time to learn your dog’s routine, personality, fears, favorite things, and all the little quirks that make them who they are. Some dogs want to play and follow me everywhere. Others need patience, quiet, and space to settle in. I meet each dog where they are instead of expecting every dog to adjust the same way. Dogs stay indoors as part of the household and can enjoy supervised play in my fully fenced backyard when the weather permits. You’ll receive honest photo updates throughout the stay so you can see how your dog is eating, resting, playing, and settling in. If I notice any changes in their eating, energy, bathroom habits, or behavior, I’ll let you know. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your dog is comfortable, protected, and genuinely cared for.

Brittany was great with my pup! She sent pictures and videos and I felt comfortable being away from my dog for the first time.

Bert loved Brittany on sight. We walked in and immediately went to her just wagging his tail! I am always worried when I leave Bert but as soon as I saw that, I was relaxed! Highly recommend Brittany!

Brittany was great with our dachshund. She communicated and sent daily pictures and updates. She treated Ozzie as if he was her own, taking him on walks, car rides, and lots of cuddles! Would definitely recommend her!

I am so glad we found Brittany to keep our two dogs while we were away for a few days! She was very responsive, flexible with drop off and pick up times, and sent pictures and updates daily. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Schedule

I work outside the home part-time, so I plan each booking carefully around my schedule. Before confirming a stay, I’ll clearly communicate how long your dog may be alone to make sure my schedule fits their needs. Before leaving for work, dogs receive attention, a potty break, and time to play or exercise. When I return, their care and routine are my priority. I only accept bookings I know I can responsibly accommodate.

Safety, trust & environment

Dogs stay indoors as part of the household and receive supervised, weather-appropriate playtime in my large, fully fenced backyard. I follow your instructions for meals, sleeping arrangements, crating, medications, and other care needs. I also pay attention to the little things, including appetite, energy, bathroom habits, and behavior. If anything seems unusual, I’ll communicate with you promptly. Treats, walks, car rides, and public outings will only happen with your permission. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first.

A typical day

Your dog’s day will follow their normal routine as closely as possible. Mornings begin with a potty break, breakfast, and some attention or playtime. Throughout the day, they’ll have indoor companionship, supervised backyard time, regular potty breaks, and plenty of time to rest. Activities are based on each dog’s personality and energy level. Active dogs may enjoy extra play, while older, shy, or anxious dogs can have a calmer day. Meals and owner-approved treats are given as instructed, and you’ll receive photo updates showing how your dog is eating, relaxing, and settling in.

Please tell me about your dog’s feeding and potty schedule, medications or health needs, allergies, fears or triggers, separation anxiety, escape habits, crate or house training, sleeping preferences, energy level, and behavior around people and other dogs. I’ll also need current vaccination information, veterinarian details, and an emergency contact. Honest information—even the less-than-perfect details—helps me prepare and keep everyone safe. It won’t make me think less of your dog. I welcome a meet-and-greet before the first stay so we can make sure my home is the right fit.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
