A Work-From-Home Animal Lover
My husband and I love animals and are committed to giving your pet a very comfortable stay! To help ensure this, we take only one dog party/client at a time. We believe this creates the most enjoyable and comfortable time for all of us. A little about me (Brittany): I wasn’t able to have a dog growing up, so at the young age of 15, I volunteered at the Oregon Humane Society—walking dogs, playing with cats, spending time with them, washing kennels, and more. I’ve had the great pleasure, since then, of fostering dogs, raising a German Shepherd (RIP, sweet girl), and dog sitting for dozens of clients. A little more about us (my husband, Blase, and me): Our late dog, Cali, grew to require extra special care, wheelchair and all, which has sufficiently equipped us with the experience and compassion in caring for animals of various needs. And since I work from home, I’m pretty much always around! We’re also great at following any guidance and instructions you may have. We love providing animals with all the cuddles or space (whatever they need), scratches, we’ll have great conversations (fluent in woof and meow), I provide some obedience training, but generally we’re going at their pace. And while we do have a backyard of our own, we are subscribed to Sniffspot, so if you have an active pup who needs to run their heart out in a big backyard or field (fenced, of course), we got you! Your family is our family and we believe animals deserve all the love and care. We look forward to spending time with your fur bebes and sending you frame-worthy photos!

Brittany and Blase were wonderful! Our usual sitter near our home was booked up already so we needed to find someone else to take care of my little boy when I went on vacation for a couple of days, and I knew right from the beginning that Brittany and her husband were going to be perfect. They totally lived up to their reviews and they sent me updates every day that I was away, which I really appreciated. I also love that they only watch one fur baby at a time because my little guy can get overwhelmed around lots of animals and activity. Gimli can take some time getting used to new people and new surroundings, and they were super patient and loving with him. We will definitely look to see if they are available the next time daddy has to go away. Can’t thank them enough!
We had such an amazing first Rover experience with Britney and truly could not have asked for a better person to care for our two female German Shepherds. From the very beginning, she was incredibly friendly, responsive, and communicative, which immediately helped ease a lot of the anxiety that comes with leaving your dogs with someone new. She kept us updated daily with pictures and videos of our girls playing, being goofy, relaxing, and genuinely looking comfortable and happy in her home. Those updates meant so much to us and gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Britney was also very upfront and honest with any questions or observations regarding the dogs and was always open to suggestions that could help them settle in more comfortably. One of the biggest things we appreciated was her experience with German Shepherds. You can absolutely tell she understands the breed and their personalities, energy levels, and needs since she previously owned one herself. She had toys available, a great environment for them, and also boarded only our girls without other dogs during their stay, which made us feel even more comfortable and helped reduce stress for them. She also gave us thoughtful feedback, training tips, and helpful suggestions that we genuinely appreciated as first-time Rover users and German Shepherd owners still learning along the way. It never felt judgmental, just supportive and caring. Overall, Britney went above and beyond for our girls, and we are so grateful for the care, patience, and attention she gave them. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and genuinely caring for their pets.☺️🐾🩷

Brittany and Blase are both completely fantastic! They are very knowledgeable and friendly and did an excellent job with my dog Taylor. It was my first time using Rover and Taylor’s first time staying with new people and everything was fantastic! They communicated frequently and I could see in all of the photos and videos they sent how happy and comfortable Taylor was. They took great care of her and she got all of the play time, attention, and snuggles she could ever want. I highly recommend them and will absolutely be rebooking in the future!
Brittany is an amazing sitter! She responded quickly to the initial request and consistently updated me with pictures and videos of my puppy throughout her stay. She was very accommodating for our very young pup and I really appreciated the one on one care she provided rather than one person watching multiple dogs like at a commercial boarding place. Brittany is at the top of my list for when we need a sitter again!

Schedule
I work from home full-time, so I am mobile and my schedule is flexible. That being said, your dog(s) and I are close buds while you’re away. I am up and out of my chair often to give your dog lots of love, let them in the yard for sniffs and playtime, out on a walk, or simply hanging out together.

Safety, trust & environment
We go at your dog’s pace and like to follow the routine they are familiar with. Also, we understand it takes time for some dogs to warm up, and some none at all! When your dog is in our care, they’re family, even if it means patiently waiting for them to come to us.
A typical day
There’s a trail right across from my house, so we may be walking that (1-mile out and back) though we have a lot of neighborhood to explore, too. Our yard tends to be a perfect space for play and sniffs. We’re expert cuddlers, we love a good game of tug ‘o war, but more importantly, we’re going at their pace. We believe routine is important and try to use that as our guide to ensure a comfortable stay and familiar structure for your pup.
