I’m a stay-at-home mom, which gives me a flexible schedule for morning, afternoon, and evening drop-in visits. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I can often accommodate different schedules with a little notice. I keep my Rover calendar updated so clients can feel confident about my availability.

I believe pets are usually most comfortable when their normal routine is kept as consistent as possible. I’ll follow your care instructions closely and make sure feeding, water, potty breaks, playtime, and any other parts of their routine are handled the way you request. I’m especially careful about checking doors, gates, collars, and harnesses before taking a dog outside, and I’ll never leave a pet unsecured. I’ll let you know immediately if I notice anything unusual. I’ll also treat your home respectfully, keep keys and entry codes private, lock everything carefully, and leave your home the way I found it. I’m happy to meet you and your pets beforehand so everyone feels comfortable.

I’d love to know about your pet’s normal routine, personality, favorite activities, and anything that helps them feel safe and comfortable. Please tell me about any medical needs, allergies, medications, anxiety, reactivity, escape attempts, or behaviors I should be aware of. I’d also like to know their feeding and potty schedule, how they do with new people, and the best way to approach or handle them. The more I know, the better I can care for them in the way they’re used to.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I’ll base our time together on what they enjoy. For an energetic dog, that might mean playing fetch, tug-of-war, exploring the yard, or going on a sniff-filled potty walk. For a calmer pet, it may be cuddles, belly rubs, or simply having some reassuring company. With cats, I’m happy to play with their favorite toys or give them space and let them decide when they’re ready to interact.

I’ve had animals for as long as I can remember and currently have two dogs and a cat of my own. Over the years, I’ve raised and trained four puppies, so I’m very familiar with puppy energy, potty-training routines, chewing, and the importance of patience and consistency. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats, including feeding, fresh water, litter boxes, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of affection. I also understand that some pets are shy, anxious, or need time to feel comfortable with someone new. I’ll follow your instructions closely and send photos and updates during every visit because I know how reassuring that is when you’re away from your pets.
