Given my experience with dogs who require special care, medical attention, and social/behavioral attention, I follow directions from owners to a T. I nannied for 6 years and worked in behavioral treatment, and treat all of the pets I watch with the same care as any child I worked with. I send updates often, never leave dogs outside unsupervised (but do have a fenced in patio), and can fence off open areas of my house as needed. The bedrooms are carpeted, but the main common areas are hard wood.

I am happy to watch any breed of dog, I just ask that they are potty trained. My townhouse does have stairs (both carpeted and hardwood).
A typical day
I love to go on walks around the neighborhood and meet other dogs when appropriate/allowed. If the weather is nice, finding a nice patio with friends is always fun as well. I live close to the lakefront, so I enjoy walking down to the lake for longer walks.

Pet care experience
Hi! I'm so excited to hang out with your pups (and cats)! I work from home, so am looking for some adorable furry friends to keep me company and keep active throughout the day. I have been surrounded by dogs my entire life and miss having them around. My family owns 2 Cavalier King Charles that I visit and babysit anytime I have the chance. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and have been cat-sitting since childhood. I have a fenced off patio and live near several dog-friendly parks. Because I don’t have any pets living in my house, Rover has been the best way to hang out and play :)

It was our first time having someone on Rover watch our dog and we felt so comfortable with Brittany as the sitter! She provided updates, was so flexible with timing, and was responsive. We can tell our dog had so much fun.😊 We are so excited to have found her!
Brittany was great with Izzy! She was very communicative throughout the stay, which I especially appreciated since Izzy was a little shy and anxious on the first day. Brittany kept me updated and reassured me that Izzy was settling in. By the end of the weekend, Izzy was comfortable, happy, and truly felt at home — all thanks to Brittany’s patience and care. It’s clear she genuinely loves what she does, and I would wholeheartedly trust her with Izzy again!
