I work full time but work from home every day besides Tuesdays where I go into the office. My husband also works from home and is home all the time so on those Tuesdays when I'm in the office, my husband is home all day with your pup. So your dog will have plenty of human interaction and not left alone very often!

I live in large home with plenty of indoor space as well as a fully fenced in backyard. The neighborhood is also very walkable with lots of sidewalks for walking. I have toys for your dog to play with and a crate if needed so no need to bring yours if your dog requires one. I have food bowls and dog beds too! Dogs also have free range of my home and can be on my couch and sleep in my bed if they are allowed! Your dog will be treated as if they were mine! One thing that is very important is that I have a 9 year old step-son who is with us 50% of the time so it's important that your dog is friendly or indifferent to kids. He is a very calm boy so he's not like Chucky running around terrorizing your dog. If your dog doesn't like kids, reach out to me with the dates that you need dog care and we can discuss if it overlaps with the times we have my stepson and what if so, what your dog's dislike for kids look like. Depending on the behaviors, we might be able to work something out! Additionally, we do have a young dog (born November 2023) but she is very friendly and sociable. So it's very important that your dog is dog friendly!

Information Brittany H. would like to know about your pet
Some things Iike to know before your dog comes and stays with me: 1. Feeding schedule and habits 2. Bathroom habits to include what time they go out and how often they usually poop a day. 3. Are they allowed at dog parks? 4. Any behavioral needs I should be aware of? Examples: Gets along with dogs? Scavenger of food on walks? High prey drive and tries to chase squirrels? Steals socks? Eats poop? 5. What are the rules for if the dog needs to be left alone? Crate? Free roam? 6. Any medications or special allergies?
A typical day
I try to maintain the same schedule that you have. You will let me know what their typical schedule is and I will follow that. Your dog gets up at 4am to go potty and eat their breakfast? Your dog needs to go out at specific times? You dog gets walks at specific times? Your dog gets a special treat at 7:13pm every night or else your dog will bark at you until the treat is given? So will we when your dog is with me! I will keep your dog busy and active with walks and frequent trips to the dog parks (if they are allowed). I also have tons of toys to keep your dog entertained!

Hi, I love your dog!
Pet care experience
Hi! Where do I begin to convince you that your dog will be the most cared for and most loved with me?! To start, I treat all dogs as if they were my own dog! I love them and do everything possible to keep them entertained, busy, and my goal is to always return a tired dog after a fun time of hanging out with me! I started as a walker in 2017 with Wag and Barkly. I then became a trainer at Barkly and moved exclusively to boarding through Wag while being a Barkley trainer for 2 years. Between Barkly and Wag, I have completed over 150 services with a perfect 5 star rating! I started as a dog boarder with Rover in late 2021 so I may be newer to Rover, but I'm not new to caring for dogs! Now for my dog loving journey! I have been obsessed with animals since birth. Since exiting the womb, I was immediately surrounded by the family's 3 German Shepherds who became my best friends as I grew older. The perils of being an only child! We had a few other dogs as I grew up but no dog ever compared to my dog Laney. I adopted her in 2010 but she unfortunately passed away in August 2020 after a short and tough battle with bone cancer. She had her leg amputated and she became a tripawd and then went through 6 rounds of chemo. I did everything possible to spoil her and help her to include: caring for her wounds, taking her to chemo, getting her the best meds, making homemade cancer fighting meals, taking her to water therapy and massage therapy, getting her a stroller to enjoy walks without having to walk, and even making her a bucket list! Because of Laney, I have experience with senior dogs and medically fragile dogs. I also fostered dogs for about 2 years. It started as a vacation to Aruba when 3 street dogs adopted me and my friends as theirs. I fell in love with them and wanted better lives for them so I raised funds and found them furever families back in the US. I then partnered with a rescue group in Aruba and a local rescue group called Dog World Rescue where I fostered 14 dogs in 11 months. Because of my fosters, I have experience with puppies and dog training! Hope to see you and your pup soon!
Reviews

We were able to enjoy a restful holiday knowing that our pups were spending the week with dog lovers. Brittany and her family treated our dogs like their own, sleeping on sofas, playing with their son, and bonding with their sweet dog, Athena. Highly recommend Brittany!

Brittany is a pet sitting all star! She, her husband, and adorable dog Athena made our dog feel right at home. Her fenced-in backyard is beautiful and her home perfect for our little one. Brittany sent a regular stream of photos, which were greatly appreciated. Frankly, we worried Elfie wouldn’t want to come home with us once we saw how much fun she seemed to be having. This was our first Rover booking with Brittany, but certainly won’t be the last!

Brittany is incredible (so is their dog Athena!) - attentive, flexible, keenly attuned to our puppy’s needs - and patient and kind. Our golden doodle Brandy loves her visits there!

June stayed with Brittany over memorial day weekend. She had a great time playing with Athena. Brittany sent us updates and was responsive to questions. We would definitely book with her again!
