Your Pet’s Unhurried Companion
I’ve had dogs and cats most of my life, and during Covid—when I was working from home rather than at UW—I became a foster dog mom, which I loved. I retired in January and now happily spend much of my time in my art studio. Alas, there are no pets in my life at the moment, so I’d love the chance to be with yours! I especially enjoy the companionship of animals and the ordinary, unhurried time that comes with caring for them—walks, play, hanging out, and simply being together. Being retired means I have something that can be hard to find: time without a rush. I’m a homeowner with a flexible schedule, and I can give a pet my attention rather than squeezing their care into the edges of a busy day. I’m not a full-time sitter, and I don’t administer medications, but I’m happy to provide attentive, dependable care and plenty of affection. I’m also hoping to make pet sitting part of my longer-term adventures—spending time with wonderful animals on South Whidbey or the San Juan Islands, and eventually pet sitting in interesting places abroad. It seems like a pretty lovely way to travel: get to know a place through the eyes of a local pet, and have a furry companion along the way. For now, I’d be very happy to borrow yours.

Ratings and reviews
Brittany would be a great Rover pet caregiver. I've known Britt for over 30 years, when she was a dog owner, and more recently as she had cared for my four-legged friend. In his later years, Augie - my blind Boston Terrier - required a gentle touch. Brittany was very adept at making him feel secure and loved, providing both day care and overnight stays. I always knew he was in good hands.
