I am a working Mom. My job schedule is irregular. I'm looking to help by doing mostly drop in visits or dog walks for families who struggle finding someone who can handle their pup.

Regardless if a yard is fenced or not, anytime your pup is out of their kennel or crate, I will have them on a leash. If we're in a fenced back yard or playing inside, I will let them drag the leash. This helps give the dog a lingering boundary and gives me a little more control in the event they become overstimulated or scared. I will always advise a dog be crated or at the very least be confined to one room in the home while unsupervised. Dogs always do better when they're given boundaries (just like humans when they're driving). I'm always working to set your pup up for success.
Information Brittany D. would like to know about your pet
While I have experience handling dogs with behavioral issues, I need owners to be very honest about their dog's behavior. Including any bite or fight history. I'll ask questions about the situations to help me better understand how to avoid any future incidents. As one might expect, I also need as much information if a dog has medical needs or allergies.
A typical day
I'm happy to adjust the level of play to whatever is most comfortable for the pup. I'm comfortable with all the typical dog games, or if your pup just wants snuggles and pets, I'm happy with that too. I'm pretty flexible.

Behavioral cases don't bother me.
Pet care experience
Cumulatively I have 3.5 years of experience at a dog training facility. I helped care for dogs, supervised their play and potty sessions as a large group, and helped monitor dogs with special needs. This job gave me the unique opportunity to work with dogs with a variety of behavioral issues. Reactivity, aggression, fear, OCD, anxiety, etc. While I always take every dog seriously, I have become more comfortable than most with handling dogs who have these issues. I am not a trainer, however I have been trained thoroughly in dog handling regardless of the situation. My experience speaks for itself. I take things at your pup's pace and I work to set them up for success in whatever way I can. Aside from professional experience, I helped pet/house sit for neighbors and relatives my whole life. I was often the go to teen for pet care. I spent a lot of my youth studying and reading about animals in general and loved learning about different dog breeds.

Brittany took wonderful care of our kitties while on vacations. She made sure all needs were met and they received extra attention. We would highly recommend Brittany to anyone looking for someone to watch their cats.
