My husband and I do our pet care as a team. Unless we are running to the store or an appointment, your pet will never be alone. My husband works full time and I work remotely for a company that provides veterinary support services. My oldest two kids are in school and my youngest turned one August 2024. Your pet would be integrated into our daily playtimes and down time. 🙂 Drop off and Pick up times: I work Monday- Friday part time. I may need to ask that you drop off or pick up your pet outside of those hours. I will work with you to figure out those times. ☺️

We have a fully fenced in property and plenty of land to play and run on. Should your pet need to be more at hand, we have a smaller fenced in area attached to our home. We do have kennels available for smaller dogs, for larger dogs you would need to provide your own kennel. At this time we are only housing small and medium dogs, Large dogs are case by case.

I would love to meet your pet(s) prior to your departure. This is to make them more comfortable once your gone. I enjoy learning their likes and dislikes, normal routine and where they prefer to sleep. I do require you to inform your vet that you have a petsitter, so that your pet can get medical care should an emergency arise. Also that you leave a written permission slip for your vet. Up to date Rabies and Distemper vaccines are required as well as use of Flea/Tick products. Proof of these are appreciated. I do encourage you to bring your pets food and treats. Pets enjoy having their own comfy bed or blanket. I also recommend a toy or two from their favorite stock pile at home!

Once we are all comfortable, we would play with approved toys, enjoy favorite treats, and for our K9 friends, enjoy time outdoors. Should your pet enjoy being brushed out as part of our day, i can accommodate that as well!

Hello, my name is Brittany (Conklin) Salyers. We moved from NY back to FL in 2021. Ive been in animal care since 2011, not counting personal ownership. I have the medical and behavioral knowledge needed to care for any pet. At this time I only watch dogs in my home. Hopefully we can expand that in the near future. While in my care they would enjoy unlimited time outside when we are home, naps on the couch, inside play time, and the energetic company of my dogs. During the Florida summers we do limited outside time to 30 minutes at a time to prevent heat exhaustion. Should your pet enjoy bedtime in a kennel, I can provide this. Or should your pet rather to sleep in bed with us, I welcome that as well. I aim to make your pet feel at home. For a successful visit you pet would need to be friendly with small kids, cats, and my own small/medium dogs. If your pet is on medication, I can provide quality care as well. I have experience with pets who are diabetic, have seizures conditions, pets who need fluid treatments during the visit, and several other conditions needing medical treatment. I am comfortable with working with pets who have fear aggression too. I can also provide transportation should your pet need an emergency vet visit. Keeping an owner updated on their pet is my biggest priority. I love sending updates with pictures and stories from our day. Rest easy knowing your pet is safe and loved while your away. About myself: I was a kennel manager for a local large veterinary facility from 2011 to 2015. Then worked as a lead receptionist and vet assistant from 2015 to 2021. Im from Florida but moved to NY in 2011. In February 2021 I moved my family back to Florida. During my time in NY we also worked with the local SPCA doing foster care. We worked with a number of different pets and medical conditions. I specialize in neonates, and fear aggression. We often took in pets who would have otherwise not been adoptable. We would host these pets, working through their issues until we found their forever homes. Currently we are fostering dogs for Walton County Animal Shelter. We do have small kids in our home (2, 5, and 10 years old) , while this does not take away from the care we provide, some dogs can be more sensitive to the little ones. If you feel your pet may be more sensitive please let me know. 🙂

Cooper panted for hours when we picked him up. After he got in the car we couldn’t get him to lay down he just wanted to stand in front of the blowing air panting. Not sure if he was left outside in the heat and dehydrated because he drank a whole bottle of water immediately and another bottle an hour later as we traveled 7 hrs towards home. He stunk so bad like he had laid in a yard full of crap. He is now as we speak at the vet and diagnosed with kennel cough. I saw a previous person report the same issue, but with the rest of the glowing reviews we decided to go ahead and try here since it was closer to the destination we were staying at. Communication prior to booking was great and comforting, however many of the days after we left him, had to ask how he was doing. I am pretty frustrated and disappointed we chose to move forward at this location. Just spent $300 vet bill because of this. Glad we decided to pick him up a day early.

I cannot recommend this dog sitter enough! She was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Not only did she take incredible care of my dog, but she went above and beyond by picking her up and even giving her a bath before bringing her home. Her patio is perfect for high-energy dogs, with plenty of space to run, play, and burn off energy safely. It was such a relief knowing my dog was getting exercise, attention, and lots of love while I was away. Communication was excellent, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. My pup came home happy, clean, and exhausted from all the fun she had. I would trust her with my dog again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and exceptional dog sitter!
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Brittany and the exceptional care she provided for our dog, Bella, while we were away for a week following our son's high school graduation. From the moment we met Brittany, it was clear that she is both knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about caring for animals. Bella is a senior dog with specific needs, including medication, and Brittany handled everything with confidence, compassion, and attention to detail. Throughout our trip, Brittany kept us updated with daily photos and messages, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. It was obvious from every update that Bella was happy, comfortable, and receiving plenty of love and attention. Brittany and her family truly treated Bella as one of their own. Coming home to a relaxed, happy dog confirmed what we already knew—we had found someone special. We feel incredibly blessed to have found Brittany and will absolutely trust her with Bella during future vacations. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and experienced pet sitter.
